Since al i,ve seen a lot of things possible in sh3 esspecially with GWX i was wonderling if it was possible to fix the deck railing on the VIIC for the early war version. It has the deckrailing of the VIIC/41 while it should have the deck railing simulair to the VIIB.

I think you meant to post this in the SHIII mod workshop? Not to worry, moving it... :)

i would venture to say yes it is possible, but the question is better asked who will take the time to learn the skill and technics to do such things. many of us take advantage of the fine work the mod comunity gives us but i think sometimes it is too easy to ask others to do the time consuming hard work and long hours it takes to fix things we notice could be better. i too am guilty of this but after asking the same question over and over i think the next post IMHO should be in reguards to learning how to do it yourself. many here will be glad to help you in your efforts but simply requesting someone else do it for you is less efficient.

Here is a nice example of what the deckrailing really looked like

it actually wouldnt be very difficult for someone who knew how to change the sub model. I could probably do something like that in around 2 hours, but at the moment I don't have 3ds max on my cpu. ];

Looking at what you've done already (VIIC/41), if you plan to have a try at it, I'm waiting for it impatiently... :yep: :rock:

Dont want to rant, but in my opinion thre are far more serious problems, than that. I can barely make out a difference between a Typ VII B and a Typ VII C/41 when it comes to the deck railing. I'm glad we finally HAVE a REAL VI C/41 though.

Okay if someone explains how i can fix it myself i will.

1) look for mods that make graffics changes like the ones you want to do.

2) compare the files they contain to stock versions of the same files to see what changes were made.

3) contact those modders and tell them what you are trying to do and ask for their help (it is rare not to get help if politely asked for).

4) if more help is needed then post what you are doing and ask for more help.
