Top notch mod:rock: . I'm loving it (hope thats not a copyright violation).
Any way, one wee problem is the sound seems to have a wee bit o white noise. tracked it download to two(so far) sound files; amb_SubmarineInterior.wav and Submarine_diesel_exterior.wav from the mod. Would hate to lose these. So gonna try cleaning them up or has somebody already done this?

Granted that I am not the cleanest torpedo in the tubes :88) but I would have thought I could load a mod........but no. So have pity :cry:
I am running SH4 with 1.4 clean install
I downloaded TM and have the following file
1_TMaru_Trigger_Maru_1[1].7.6.7z
I can't click on it as windows does not recognize the file format.:damn:
What am I doing wrong?

With this last update it was introduced the 4 bladed propeller in the Balao class,but they turn in the wrong direction!
Can anybody help me fix that?

Just got the DD version of SHIV and I'm having trouble installing TM...It looks awesome, but when I install it I get a missing file notification (radiomessage.dds, even though it's there) and CTD. Unfortunately, I can only D/L updates from Direct2Drive and I don't know if 1.1 DD is equivalent to 1.3 or 1.4. can you give me a little advice on how to proceed in this case?

Same place I got mine. You should have gotten SH4 v1.0. Register your copy, then download and install the 1.4 patch. That should bring you up to date. You can then get Trigger Maru, Run Silent Run Deep Campaign, and any others that 'float your boat' and install them.
Once registered, the 1.4 patch is available for D/L from UBI.

I'm sure the answer is buried somewhere in the 80 pages of this thread, so my apologies asking this, but can somebody point me to where the instructions are for intalling this Mod? I've extracted the files to a temp folder, but it's not intuitively obvious to me exactly how to go about it.
Do you hand copy all the files to the respective folders?
Is there a WinRAR installer option to do this?

Short story:
My father died in 1995 and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery. After the service, I moved two row of headstones back and started to walk toward the road and a headstone caught my eye as it had gold inlay instead of the usual black. There was a Medal of Honor engraved on the top of it so I stopped and read it. It was Richard O'Kane, USN who had died the February before. Dick O'Kane was one of my heros ever since I was a kid. When my Mother died two years later and was buried there, I took the time to step back two row and down three headstones and pay my respects. If you get a chance to visit, Dick O'Kane is buried very close to the Admin Office, in fact, its the area directly adjacent to it. Very short walk.

I have downloaded and installed ParaB's tweaked air strikes and the problem is definitely out... There is the second war patrol I do with this mod and no more strikes by night...

Just wanted to share my frustration and give you all a chuckle at my expense.
I have a 7kB/s LAN connection at work. I tried downloading this mod four times now... :stare:
One time, I got to about 50%. I was installing some HP printer drivers as concurrent activity. Anyway the driver installation recommends disabling your anti-virus software during setup. So... lol... I turn off Avast and Firefox (being the good browser that it is) turns off my TM download! :damn:
I'm at work for another four weeks, think I may just have to wait.
I don't suppose there's a torrent, I did used a torrent search but it came up empty.

I don't know if this has been reported or not. I just installed 1.7.6 and I noticed that the bearing overlay on the player's sub does not match up with the ruler when you measure a distance.
It looks off by about 200 yds over the entire overlay.

I've noticed that too, I think it depends on what resolution you are running at. Some resolutions don't match the available graphics for the bearing overlay.

The easiest way is to open the /data/cfg/commands.cfg in tmaru. Search for " [Cmd50] " Your looking for these two blocks:

Simply remove the semicolon placed in front of the key assignment, and you have the next/previous cameras back.

Goto Data folder then Cfg then open Gameplaysettings.cfg with notepad
Find the noexternalview = true change true to false
Ohh also do the same in your docs folder in the gameplaysettings.cfg
And i can't rem if it only kicks in at port or new career

Well i use 100% now, But with row etc i did like to get nice external camera shots so i used to alter the tm no external view solely to take snaps
Now i don't bother with external views and run 100% realistic

I think we're screwed dude.
You running any other mods? Something MUST be overlapping. I set all the config files and sure enough every time they reset to false.
Have you tried starting a new campaign with the external cam set to on?

Try deleting the sh4 folder in my docs then redo cfg to enable ext view then start new career
Or wait until you've done with present career
ps: As you delete sh4 folder in my docs, You lose res etc in sh4 graphics options etc, Do the above then load sh4 and sort settings n save, then exit sh4 then check cfg and ammend if needed then go and start new career

By running sub school (and not any saved games), I've definitely confirmed that it is a TM issue, in combination with whatever possible Vista related bugs and/or video driver issues I have on this machine. Rolling it back to stock I got the usual pretty partly-cloudy blue/white skies, reinstalling TM, I got the bleached-out look again. It "switched" to this halfway through my last patrol and has been persistent ever since. I'll try updating the video driver next and pray that works.

I'm just jumping into this thread . . . but had a similar problem with the externals. But then I noticed that when I created a new campaign the OPTIONS were reset. Have you looked at your option settings from the Captains desk while in the campaign (before you start the mission)? Make sure the Disable Externals tickbox is not checked.
Yeah yeah . . I know it sounds silly . . but start easy.
I found that even though you may have set this at the MAIN options screen, the Campaign has its own default settings and will override those. When you start "tweeking n peekin" cfg and ini files . . . ya never know how many you actually have to touch in order to make something occur.

Yeah.... did this. I check the box to enable external views. I start up the game... no external views... I end the game and got to the main menu, the box is checked for no external views again.

I tried deleting the SH4 directory and then verified that the cfg gamesettings file had external camera enabled. I started the game up and checked the options so that no external camera was left UNCHECKED.
I started a new campaign.
I hit the movie camera icon on the tray and nothing happens. It's still stuck on no external camera.
I tried uninstalling TM in the generic mod enabler to see if it was specific to that mod. I did all the previous steps over again and started a new campaign. Still no external camera.
Could another mod be doing it? Do I have to completely uninstall the program and reinstall?

I did a full reinstall but probably didn't need to....
When you start a new campaign make damn sure you choose "EASY" or you'll never get your external views back. It overides whatever settings you chose in the previous menu.

Damn I'm a bit late it seems, but you wouldn't have had to reinstall. Your difficulty settings for the career keep resetting because you HAVE TO use the menu that is accessed through the captain's office while you're at port. It's accessed through one of the books on the left(US Career, german is different). The main options menu has no effect on campaign, only single missions and war patrols. No matter what difficulty you select, you can still change any of the settings from your office.

Second, once patched to 1.4, I recommend that you DL Ducimus Trigger Maru Overhauled which is his latest and last installment for 1.4 and enable that using JSGME. Now when you mention music is this radio or gramaphone that we are discussing?

In vanilla there is always a music in the background, dont need to activate the radio or gramaphone to get it and it changes automatically if in combat. Dont know how to explain it better. I believe that Trigger changes/gets rid of the music in the background. I have used it so long that I forgot what Stock SH4 sounded like.....:nope: .
I recommend the many very well done Radio Mods that you can listen too while running on the surface or you can add period music and radio shows to your gramaphone and play them from there. That is what I do!

Howdo all!
OK noob here...just installed this along with Reflections on the Water so havent got very far yet, looks damn mighty fine though.
One question though about my first mission, Patrol 2 areas, I area is in a bay, fine did that, full speed to next one, only to find the binocular icon is on the main land?
I understand Ive got to get to within 50 metres of it, so any ideas?, does me sub have an undercarriage lever somewhere?

You should only have to patrol within a certain range of the icon for a few days. You don't necessarily have to go pinpoint to it. Use your compass to make a big circle with the icon at the center. Expand it out to area equal to required patrol icon, and just cruise through there for the required time allotted.
Also, if you are playing with limited fuel, watch your speed, as you need to be able to get back to base, as they don't send out ships to tow you into base, or tenders to refuel your sub.

Hey guys, I was mooching around the SH4 mods folder and found a load of Trigger Maru stuff I must have downloaded a few months ago, but forgot to install.
Note, I've been running Trigger Maru Overhauled before these new installations. Anyway, the 3 new TM mods I installed were as follows:
REL_ Trigger_Maru 1-6
TMARU-Patch _1.6.3
REL_Trigger_Maru_GFX_PAK_2_1
The game runs, but not without some 200 errors that I have to click to get rid of, then the game will run. But, it leads me to believe there is a conflict somewhere.
Attatched is a small screenie of the mods I have installed on SH4.
Any help is greatly appreciated guys :)

this TMO isn't compatible with the newer patches i believe, just stick with overhauled

Your problem is running an older version of TM 1.6 over top of TMO. Uninstall TM 1.6, the GFX pak, and TM 1.6.3 patch and see if that clears it up for you
Having installed SHIV recently. Now it's time for adding stuff.
TM: on ducimus554 file-front site I found TMO-152. Thread title states that version 1.7.6 is out but nothing about 152. Did I miss something? And what additional files do I nedd?

TMO 1.7.6 is the version released before TMO 1.52, there are 2 versions of TMO 1.52 one for the U-Boat addon and one for SH4 patched to V1.4 you should be able to find the V1.4 version on Ducimus's filefront page.
