Hi everybody,

I have to say that it is great what you did with the LWAMI mod so far

my ideas for a future version

- kill the german Luetjens-Class (CF Adams) - it is decommisioned, model is wrong and the RAM system is missing. (This is wrong since fleet command and really annoyes me because i served for 3 years on the MOELDERS as SM1 fire control technician)

How about adding more Navies by using the existing models in the game e.g.:
UK
- the Type 22 frigate is missing but Broadsword-Model is in the game as it is used by Brazil
Greece
- Kimon Class (ex. CF Adams, model is in the game)
- Elli Class (ex. Kortenear Class, model of Bremen class is very similar)
- Clarkos Class (Type 209 sub, model is in the game)
- Patrol boats are combattante II and III class (combattante III is in the game, II and III are almost identical model-wise)
Turkey
- Gaziantep Class (all ex. OH Perry)
- Muavenet Class (Knox Class, model is in the game)
- Preveze Class (Type 209 sub)
- Atilay Class (Type 209 sub)
Spain:
- Santa Maria Class (OH Perry)
- Baleares Class (Knox Class)
- Galerna Class (Agosta sub, model is in the game)
- Delfin Class (Daphne sub, model is in the game)

The mentioned classes are, if not identical, very similar and sensor differences can easily be adjusted by creating new database entries with correct sensor loadout (Hazegray World Navies Today - website is great figuring out the sensor loadout)
I think, including these Navies would already improve the overall game without the need of extensive creation of new models (don`t get me wrong - i love your models) I know you can just use the ship of another country, but then the onboard helicopters are wrong etc......
I actually messing around with the database editor myself and i am afraid, that i am loosing my changes with every LWAMI mod installation. Is that the case?

Also - during my fleet command times there was a Yahoo-group called Fleet-Command-Graphics (it is still there). They have a couple of models for missiles and ships. I think these can be used in DW also - at least the *.j3d files. Anyhow - it is quite interesting concerning tips for modeling new units.

Well - thats my idea:hmm:

Well I don't think that removing decommissioned ships is a good idea since historical missions are always a possablity. Giving the German CF Adams class a RAM system shouldn't be that hard unless we wanted to go and add it to the 3D model its self, at that point it may just be easer to make a new model.

Thanks!

LW actually does want to add other navies at some point. I think fixing the platforms already in the sim will come first though. In any case, this sort of information is very helpful.
