I'm a bit confused on using GWX_-_Combined_Skin_Pack.
in the readme.txt it's written that: This Silent Hunter III skin pack is for use only with GWX. It will not work with stock SHIII or any of the other supermods.
And at the end there comes this: To install you will need to unzip and copy all files into your \SH3 Commander\Date\ folder.
So if I'm not using SH3 Commander, but GWX ONLY, am I not able to use this skin pack at all ? or I missed smth.. :nope:

I believe so. When you unpack them, they're organized by date and SH3 Commander will load the appropriate skins based on the in-game date (i.e. they represent changes in paint schemes over time). I guess you could unpack them and then individually copy the ones you want into separate folders and enable individually using JSME. However, I was not an SH3 Commander user until I decided I wanted to use this skin pack - and I'm very glad I started using it for not only these graphics but other features as well.

I still have not made a decission should I start using SH3 comander now.. I will probably wait for 1.04 patch of GWX to come to day light, then I would compare features of both gwx and sh3 commander and see how much I would loose without having SH3 commander :hmm:

Are there still any new smoke textures out there? Can't seem to find any.....also, has anyone tried to duplicate SH4's smoke?

Not useing SHCommander with GWX2 is like haveing a peanutbutter sandwich without jam, Ham without eggs ect ect ect.

SH3 Commander is not a mod. It doesn't change GWX or anything else. It simply adds a wealth of new ways to control the game's parameters (reload times, wave height, time compression, u-boat and grid selection) and immersion factors (crew names, experience, career data etc). There is no reason not to be using it now, and every reason to load it up immediately.

Who will be able to make russian navy ship?
Russian torpedo motor boat TK-403 (Torpedniy Kater-403) is an example of hundreds of patrol boats used at in Soviet Navy costal areas of arctic seas and Pacific ocean. They were used for patrol, escort, and ASW.
TK-403 used from the end of 1930th till 1950th. It was 43 tones displacement. Demensions are 21.34 m/5.8m/1.83m. Speed is 40 knots. Armed with two torpedo tubes (detaile No 15 on the drawing), one or two 20mm guns (detaile No 7 on the drawing), one or two 12.7mm mashine guns (No 16), anti-submarine passive hydrophone, 6 light deep charges (No18) and cover-up smoke mashine (detaile No 24).

Here also a little mod VM_sound with shouts of people on the ships and planes and popular german songs of 1930-40th.

I've been making new sil images for the recog. manual in high and low contrast version for SH3,GWX3,WAC 4.1, and MFM-Beta-4.1. If anyone wants tell me how to post them into download section or in mods.

I thought I saw a thread somewhere a while back, which is probably where I need to be looking, so sorry if this is too far off topic.
I want to start doing some simple mods of my own. For example, I'm using the olc gold mod, which is fantastic for me, but the night sky sometimes is just too dark for me. Is that something that would be fairly easy to change?
Also, I see a lot of guides and manuals around, but nothing specifically about how how it's done in general. Would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction? Basically I just need to know how to get started. Thanks! :D

How can I add new countries (china, japan) with cities/ports? I have added the Dutch ports in the East Indies but Netherlands already existed.
