Hi, is anyone able to edit the SHIV scene.dat file to remove the Sky Vortex:

We can have the SHIV water, reflections etc in SHIII, so far this has been achieved thanks to the discovery by Stager00:

Yes, it's a snapshot in the navigation training mission. Another problem is the wave height, or possably the sea height! all problems are in the scene.dat file.:-?

It would be great if someone (who knows how to do it) could take a look at SH4 scene.dat and investigate what changes were made to it by developers and if those changes can be somewhat implemented to SH3 scene.dat. That way we could made "enhanced" version of scene.dat to both stock SH3 and GWX.

Generally its worth effort to investigate SH4 to see what SH3 modder can learn from it (apart from that some textures can be used after converting it to tga).

I tried converting some of the dds files to tga just to do a comparison with existing SHIII files, even tested in game but the graphics are totally different, certainly not useable!:down:
