View Full Version : Up-Load NEW Mods?

I have been testing some of these mods... The ships seem more difficult to get started. I haven't seen any in the campaign but have been working on the missions. The new ships might appear if I succeed but where to up-load all this fine work we do? I seem to be having trouble finding this link.
My latest mod is just a hash of all these other mods I have found here, but I have tested them and have compiled Blightz Best, including:
Clock N Stevens v1.2_stock
Depth Charge Mod Stage 2
Die Slowly Mod (WIP) Stage 10
Kosh 9km Visibility Apr28 07
Kosh Reduced Floaters Apr 28
Mini chronometer
Red_Kompass_Line
SeaWeed
Sky_Environment_Mod
Sonar Book... Just to name a few
Sounds... Visual... Higher exterior cam, you name it!
I think it should be a Patch, more than a mod, but then again, I compiled it!
It is Blight Lightning's SuperSub MOD "Blightz Best of the Web", but where can I Up-load this 63 megabyte super mod? The self-extracting rar has no un-install but one can un-rar it to any folder and review it's contents. It has been tested with
Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific v1.2 (patched) and is finally ready.
Any Ideas?

I would consider asking the original authors if you can use their work in your "super mod"... Just a thought...
Also using "Super" and "Best of the Web" isn't recommended... it looks like that viagra spam I get daily in my mail... Are you a spammer? Also, people are different, tastes are different and how do you know that the other people have the same taste as yours? I doubt they do... Just look at RFB and the other "super mega" mods, people always want something to be changed, this should be done the other way or the sensitivity of the radar is too low, or the power of the deck gun it too big etc...
I hope you got my point :)

Simply put, it isn't really a mod, but a collection of the best (in my opinion), of the mods. I test these to insure they are compatable, correct errors, files mispelled in ini files, accuracy in refrence locations, (like Radio stations), and check dff compression. I alter very little of the origonal game settings, although the depth-charges are so powerful, one misses the damage sequences due to instant destruction!
I like the work people do, like correcting the campains so one doesn't begin a career before the radio messages can be recieved. This grants access to aspects of the game some may not enjoy otherwise. I give full credit for all the Mods I choose as "The Best", and since they have been made public domain by free release, I don't believe I am "USING" anyone. I mean, who has ever heard of 30 foot tall seaweed? GET MY POINT?
No sir, I think a collection could save some alot of time, trial and error by the benefit of an installable collection of all the hard work others have done.
I am... BlightLightning
