Is there any way to build a Sub School mission with a player-controlled Balao or Gar boat?

It seems these two will not show up in the sub school for some reason. You can build a mission with them, but the boat type is 'unknown' when you go to do the mission. If you try to start the mission you get dumped to the desktop. Does anyone know why?

No idea, recommend you check dates of mission, entry dates of sub etc.

I made sure all the parameters were well within the service dates of the boats. Hmmm. I'm stumped.
