[REQ] Fixing Midway

The battle at Midway doesn't take place in the career game, even though you will get a message telling you to go there and help out. Someone mentioned that the campaign file is messed up in this respect, that it sends a Japanese carrier fleet in January 1942 somewhere just west of Midway and then turns back long before the battle should take place. I have seen the aircraft from this fleet in January, although I haven't caught up with the fleet itself.

Has anyone fixed this? Can anyone provide instructions on how to fix it?

Yeah, Nagumo's carriers and Yamamoto's battleships leave Japan on 1/1/42 according to the 'BattleofMidway.mis'. I have edited my file to have them leave on 1/6/42 (that's the 1st of June, not the 6th of January!), the same as all the other task forces in the map. However, I've not been able to confirm that it works. I've hung around in the area several times but not seen anything.

Any suggestions of better ways to check it? It works fine in the mission editor when I 'play' the action.
