GWX error msg

hello everyone.. NOOB here. ?= I was downloading mods last pm/ this am (went to bed @ 3:00 am THIS am) anyway, when I fired up this day I found 2 new icons on my screen.
1. GWXinserr.log opened folder & it reported a system test. said " test1=passed , test2=passed , same for 3 & 4", but @ test 5 it said " test5=failed" & gave a code " c1d3097ebf96b1247880096149598dac ". what is this about ? have not started the game yet.

2. also an "SH3Gen" that indicated failure without explanation.

can anyone help, please. THANK YOU..

I am not sure, bus I suspect that is the "hash" check for that file. You probably need the download part 5 again.

yes thats the report from MD5 file compare,
you have to download it again mate,

'Test 5 = FAILED - <32 char string>' means that the SH3 installation that you selected to install GWX into has been modified sufficiently to impact the installation of GWX. In other words, it's not a CLEAN, UNMODIFIED installation of Silent Hunter III patched to Version 1.4b as expected.

Have you modded the installation at all? If it's a new installation, did you *fully* remove the residual files before re-installing SH3?

Please note that this error is from a report generated by the GWX installer (GWXInstErr.log). IT IS NOT INDICATIVE OF ANY FILE CORRUPTION! The five PASSED/FAILED values are simply the result of tests undertaken to determine the validity of the selected installation of SH3. Any FAILED results means that the SH3 installation is not valid.

Corrupt files are determined by using MD5Mate which will provide a visual indication via ticks and crosses as to the integrity of the d/l files. A totally different process. ;)
