Question, asked in the other thread, but...any chance of doing something like this for Sh3?

SHIII?
Time permitting... I have PDT comming up with Badger SQN... We'll see...
Anyone else think SHIII feels more complete then SHIV? And is there anyway to make it so you can 1st person walk around the sub in either sim?
I loved your RTR 1.1 periscope. Really liked that it was dimmer and not as clear as the default, and works great as an attack scope while the default as the obs scope :)

ShIII feels more complete because it's had 2 years of intense modder efforts to "fill in the cracks". As a result, with the bevy of mods out for it, 4 patches after release, it feels a very complete sim.
RE: "walk around the sub"...well, in either sim, you are obviously limited to the compartments available...which is at least one fewer in each boat in Sh4 vs Sh3, BUT...[Shift]-[F2] is a "free" camera, that lets you move it anywhere you want. Not really "walking", and you lose the ability to interact with anything, but it lets you get some really cool views from inside the boat.

Yeah...
I remember trying to get a petition going for SHIII to have all compartments and crew... So you could walk around and see and do subsiming... Remember Hidden and Dangerous 2? That had a fully modeled interior of a lovely type VII... Kinda... It was crap but the idea was there...
With a lovely feature like that you'd never use time compression again... With mini games, like cards with the boys... and stuff like that... Kinda an RPG/Subsim... Now that would be crazy! Maybe SHVI when were back in the atlantic in our uboats... I just hope they don't go modern... not as much fun or skill involved... Anyway I'm off topic...

:o
Ummm...have you TRIED 'Dangerous Waters'? To say that WW2 subsims don't hold a candle to the skill needed for a modern boat is an understatement to the magnitude of "The Japanese treatment of POWs wasn't overly friendly".
