Some GWX questions.

1.IM not a harcore Kaluen to be honest I play at 60% Realisim (No Manuel TDC and autoamtic map updates but most options such as limited fuel and batteries etc on)

Will GWX make me play at 100% Realisim?

2.Do you have to return to port in GWX manually?

3.Is the renown system tweaked in GWX?

4.Will you encounter many warships in GWX?

5.If your Computer can easily run Stock 1.4b with no problems (frame rate sometimes takes a hit during explosions though because of max particle effects) will it be fine on GWX?

6. If you die do you have to restart your Campaign?

Only if you wish. The realism settings are the same as in SH3. You chose what you want to use.

Only if you play at 100% Realism. Otherwise you can always press ESC and be teleported to your Home Base.

3.Is the renown system tweaked in GWX?
Not Really. Renown is given in the same way as in SH3.

4.Will you encounter many warships in GWX?
There will be a time you wish you never had this wish. Yes the Royal Navy is everywhere. Britania literally rules the waves in GWX.

5.If your Computer can easily run Stock 1.4b with no problems (frame rate sometimes takes a hit during explosions though because of max particle effects) will it be fine on GWX?
If you can run SH3 you have no problem with GWX. There might be a slight decrease in Frame Rates but you will have no problem playing the game.

6. If you die do you have to restart your Campaign?
Yes although if you want you can always load a previous save game and "cheat death".

GWX is not a fascist game mod. The GWX guys don't believe in constraining your interpretation of the game, unlike some other modders *cough* Beery *cough*.

All GWX does is change the basic game. You can still manipulate the details as much as before.

i tryed to instal it over my curent GWX file (i belive its 1.1 or somthing like that) and it said there isnt any GWX file. so i guess i have to get GWX1.02 first


nvr mind... i only got the GWX supermod... i need to reinstal SH3 <_<

If your going to do a reinstall:

Delete any/all SH3 files from C\MyDocuments
Install a clean version of SH3 in C\Program Files\Ubisoft\SH3
Patch it to 1.4b
Copy the folder and paste it to whatever drive you want.
Rename the folder ‘GWX’.
Now install GWX
Now install v1.03 (or whatever version you have) and run it.
Create a shortcut to the desktop..
Install the SH3Cmd 2.7 plus the SH3Cfg file
If your going to use multiple installs I’d suggest a separate install of SH3Cmdr for each plus an install of MultiSH3.

Although I still have the 1.02 updater. :cool: I keep EVERYTHING. I even have the GWX Beta 2 files!

All the updates of GWX are commulative and don't need each other to work. As long as you have a CLEAN copy of GWX you can add any update whenever you like.

Just wondering, I have not done this but does SH3 support multiple carreers? For instance you start out in '39 in a Type II, to work your way up. Then just for kicks start another carreer in '41 in a Type VII?

Second question can this be done launching with SH3 Commander?

Third question, once you generate a career with SH3 and you do not need to Rollback, do you still need to launch your saved games from SH3 Commander or can you just load up SH3.

I run SH3+GWX1.03+SH3Commander

Answer to third is no but it is considered 'best practice' to us the rollback and SH3 Cmdr :up:

then i patched it up with 1.02 and 1.03 tryed again and it crashed.:damn:

There is no such thing as GWX 1.1 (someone should have noticed this when you first posted it above). It would appear that you are referring to GW1.1, which is NOT GWX. You must have GWX, available from the link at my sig, in order to install the subsequent 1.03 patch.

There is no such thing as GWX 1.1 (someone should have noticed this when you first posted it above). It would appear that you are referring to GW1.1, which is NOT GWX. You must have GWX, available from the link at my sig, in order to install the subsequent 1.03 patch.

i have this GWX.exe and those 5 bin files... just didnt know what type it was.
i had to wait almoast 2 days for the files.
but it just wont work
