This is a mod to make using the deck gun sound and act more realistically, and so assist in getting the optimum rate of fire.

This file replaces the default 4.5" deck gun sound with one which includes the sounds of the deck gun crew reloading the gun, it is timed to play over the reload time in the sim, with the loader giving you an audio cue when you are ready to fire again (as he would do in real life), thus, you don't have to watch that little load bar to see when a round is up and can concentrate on aiming. This should prevent the need to constantly tap the space bar! The sound also adds a slight effect from the gun boom which rolls back towards you a few seconds later, emulating the effect of the boom echoing back off the clouds, which is more akin to what a gun sounds like on the open seas.
As with all mods of this nature, play it in windows media player first to make sure you like it, and back up the original sound from the game so you can change the sound back to default if you want to (I suspect you won't want to do that though if you try this mod :D ).
To use the file in SH4, simply replace the default one with this download, and put it in the folder: \Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Sound
Enjoy, and don't forget to oil your gun, that salt water plays havoc with it!
