[REL] Hi-res Balao skin V1.1

Hello captains.. :arrgh!: UPDATE V1.1 !!

It's finally ready. V1.1 of the hi-res Balao skin (still less weathered).
Texture size increased from 1024x1024 to 2048x2048. So far without loss of FPS :D :D

* 2048x2048 textures
* JSGME ready
* Adjusted lighting files

added V1.1
* Darker deck and hull
* A bit more rust textures and a more 3 look on the bow ballast holes

You're right.. I did not get it nicely. I tried it but for now it did not work for me (yet). I have now used very thin lines.. which you can see from some original pictures. I think they give a nice effect.

But I find it odd that UBI decided to add rivets where there were none.

Hey Bunkerratt.. how this for black deck ?
I cannot make it more black because all detail will not be vissible anymore.
I have also added some grey in the ballast holes to add a more 3d look
Does that look better ? or do you guys prefer the black only ?

I was also thinking about that.. but by the time I am finished it 2018 :rotfl:
I will built them one for one, and release them seperate.
Afcourse until there all done.. Then I will included them in a package.

I am not 100% sure here, but it seems that those numbers where only used when testing the boats and early in the war. I think its not "THAT" important to tell you the truth...could be wrong but.

I'd start with the first sub most people get (Tambor/Porpoise) and then work upwards to the heavy hitters.

How far back can the blue go along the hull? Can it go all the way back to the stern? Just curious because I would like to see a Balao skin with the blue go all the way back to the last antenna (looking at second picture).

My vote would be a hi-res skin of the Gato

The deck looks like the skipper has had his crew scrubbing it clean for the past week. :D Please, release a more weathered version for your skins in the future, and your skin quality will be right there with that of Fubar's for SH3. :yep:

Although I like clean skins... I agree with you.
My problem is that weathering the skins is not my best skill :-?

Hmmm, my son doesn't know it either. Did a google search only to find I have to regeister, they're trying to lure me into a domain name etc.

I have the files, are willing to upload them, I don't know how to do it without all the fuzz. Maybe by PM with your Email account I can send them to you, I don't know.

Yep. Somewhere by the middle of that bunch there are two rar files. Just scroll down with much attention and you'll find them. Easy to miss among a zillion jpeg's.

Sorry Foo, not enough to make me give up my Redfin skin! I risked my skin and my crews to perform well enough to qualify for two new boats to work myself up to a Balao and the coveted Redfin skin. Then you come out with this... You sure know how to hurt a captain.

Maybe you could update the updated hi-res Redfin skin to these standards? :rock:I don't know--Redfin is pretty darn good! I don't know if you could improve it.
