Anyway to work on the mouse lagging? Is it the texture of the arrow that slows it up? Something hard coded we can not touch? I notice a light haze around it sometimes. Possibly this is the issue? Thoughts?

Not much we can do about it. I'm pretty sure it's from the code. Hopefully they will figure it out and clean it up in the next patch or two. 1.2 decreased it significantly for me but there is still a little residual there. I have top-notch system and still get it a bit. I'm very familiar with this phenomenon from playing America's Army game over the last 4 years. Every so often they release an update patch and everyone has heavy mouse lag for a couple of months, then next patch comes along, they fix it and its gone. Been dealing with this issue in games for so long I don't even think about it anymore. I don't know this engine very well yet because I am new but I highly doubt that there is a mod solution for this. Any fix is gonna have to come from the dev's assuming they can find and address it.

Have you tried changing your flip queue size(ATI) or Max Frames to Render Ahead(NVIDIA)?

Not much there...

Data\Menu\Mouse.cfg:

[Cursor 9]
Name=Drag
XO=0
YO=0

(basically top left)

'How 'bout in Windows Cpanel\mouse\ max speed and Precision.

I't does seem to stutter as if it were loading files. In v1.1 when doing solutions on convoys with high details the mouse acted like a bag of sand was tied to it.

What kind of FPS indications do you get when this happens?

'Nother good tweak it to increase your min/max virtual memory to 6000 (6GBs) and give a good defrag via DiskKeeper.

What kind of mouse you using? There's new mices out like the Logitech G5/7 with a 500 polling rate an a Razar DiamondBack with a 1000 pollong rate. They will SMOOOOTH out some lag, if you play FPS games you may wanna look into one of these. Standard USB mice = 125 polling rate an PS/2 = 200 max sample rate by manufatuer drivers.

I am having the same issue with mouse lag and am pretty sure this is a SH4 issue.
There have been a few games in the past that had the same issue but were fixed by support. Many times it is blamed by the in game mouse pointer being tied to DX9.

The mouse lag is so bad I can't play this game on my computer. I have 1Gb of memory. Would increasing it to 2Gb make it any better?
Also, does the video card have any effect on the mouse lag?
I am not very computer savvy about these things; I don't want to invest in upgrades unless they will solve this problem.:damn:

I have a Razer Copperhead with a 1000 Polling rate and I still get mouse lag. It's the game.

It works for me ( ATI, i put "2" while it is "undefined" by defaut). Not perfect, but much better.

This works for all Direct3D games. It basically tells the driver the number of frames it should calculate ahead before being displayed. Default is undefined(3), lowering it means less frames rendered ahead and can solve mouse lag.
You'll need Ati Tray Tools to change this command.

For Nvidia users it's called 'Max frames to render ahead' and is probably hidden in the Forceware control panel, Rivatuner is recommended.

No effect for me.
