slight problem.. with V1.2

Don't move this to the bug section please as this question/request is more relevant here!!

Patched to V1.2 and game crashes with this error.
"MenuID 0x42170006 not found"

I cannot find this any any of the files. If anybody has this ID in their ini/cfg files can you post it please - so that I can plonk into my files. The MenuId might cross 2 or 3 menu files

Not to worry, I deleted the 1024x768.ini file and the game re-created another, which is working --- ??????

I have this problem with the new patch the main map looks like someone has ripped tears all through it and can scroll of the map left or right ,anyone else had this problem...:hmm:

Alan, you're not using a heinous no-CD hack, are ya? :arrgh!:

Only asking 'cuz I had the same problem when using a hack, but when reverting to the legit .exe everything is back to ship-shape. And yes, I admit it: I don't like putting my legitimate DVD in the drive all the time... I'm terrible :dead:

If that's not the problem though, Alan, sorry, mate.

Yeah, the no-cd hacked .exe for 1.2 seems to be a bit of a dud. For me it knocked out torpedo usage completely, as we as a few other essential commands ( "p", and "s"). Original .exe works fine.

SockEye..No mate its a straight game..Works ok on the SH4 original game,but with the patch no end of problems..etc..P key or S..does not work now..and as for diving,try to do this and the stupid thing stops the engines.Why ? i dont know..And what have they done to the diving time?? i could dive faster my self..Hope not to have to crash dive,just don't know what will happnen...:down:

Try this... as it worked for me.
Find all the ini, cfg files and back them up - create another folder and copy/move/backup them there - delete the files in the original folders. Restart the game. the game might re-create these files and work. (this will efectively bomb most/all your mods, so uninstall them first)

Just make a spare copy of your Menue 1024x768

and stick it back into the folder after your mod doesn't work, I had the same problem and only figure it out after uninstalling the game and reinstalling it 4 times.
I just made a folder and saved all the original files in it so when a particular Mod doesn't work , I just reinsert the old file and it works again, some mods are not functioning with the new patch.
The new v1.2 no dvd patch works fine for me it is an issue with I think 2 of the mods I had before the 1.2 game patch.
but now it is working fine for me .

I do not advocate cracked games, but I do have the no cd/dvd patches as I have kids who also play the games on here and at $ 49.99 a pop it is worth it to save wear and tear on my dvd's and cd game disk's.
