These were the first ships in the Japanese navy to be armed with triple torpedo tubes (albeit of 21"). Despite her advanced age, Tenryu was present at the first battle of Savo Island near Guadalcanal, where she played an active role.

What ship was that before ( Rowis ) ?
My image didn't work, but that doesn't look enough like Tenryu. I'm willing to give more slop room for marus (oddly none of the SH3 merchants released is actually even close to anything that japan had according to the ONI books), but not to warships.
Nothing personal.

I think we all appreciate your conversions jmj
But sometimes its better to wait for a more suitable model to convert
Carry on
jmjohnston36 - don't take it too personally. Sometimes, a clone can stand in for a ship for awhile until someone kitbashes it or builds it from scratch. But there is only so far you can go with clones, and sometimes the cloned ship's parent is just too different from the ship it is supposed to represent. In this case, a three-stacked Clemson class DD isn't even close to the correct size, and its profile has barely any resemblence. The original clone by Rowi stood in rather well for the Soviet class (although I would have rebuilt the bridge myself) but she can't serve too well as a CL. But keep trying - as I said, it's nothing personal.:yep:
* NOTE - The US DD in the picture is actually a nearly identical Wickes class DD, with two funnels removed to serve as an APD. I actually kitbashed one of these for SHIII once but never finished it.
