Hi all...
It was a little hard to me to remember wich kind of torp i have loaded into my tubes, the stock colours
are so dirty/washed, so i decide to give them so clear and diferent colours, to make them so easy to identify.
I use...
Blue : for oldtech and low explosive 226Kg (MK 10)
Green : for newtech and low explosive 261Kg (MK 18)
Yellow : for oldtech high explosive 292Kg (MK 14)
Orange : for newtech high explosive 292Kg (MK 23)
Red : for newtech and Very High explosive 428Kg (MK 16)
Military Green : for the smalll "Cutty" 43Kg (MK 27)
Now i can quickly know wich torp i have into each tube, without to pass the mouse cursor over them.
Note :

You have 3 choices.
Bright : this version is too bright and have alive colours.
Dark : This verion preserve the alive colours, but is dark.
Desaturated : It is a little bit dark, and has desaturated colours if you dont like the alive colours look.
A look of it, this screen shot is corresponding at dark version.

Not a great mod :p but... you are not enforced to use it. :rotfl:
Any way, i think somebody can found it useful.

I was thinking in to put numbers on them, but the program flips the torpedoes images to put them into stern or bow tubes.
Then the numbers will appears mirrowed.
The solution may be to use Roman numbers.
But they will be mirrowed any way, there is a fix for this, the roman numbers must by into columns.
In example for MK 18...
XVIII must be... in front X, and rear V plus III.
X
V
III
What do you think about this ?

Great idea. I chose the "bright colors" mod version, since like you say, the whole idea is to sort these torpedoes out a lot easier.

Now that's odd... In your screenshot, Redwine, when you hover the mouse cursor over a torpedo there's all this info on range, propulsion, guidance and other stuff. In my game I can only ever see the torpedo type. Or is this info only available with the Mark 27?

That is not related with this mod, is another one....
Go to....

If you want to use single stenciled letters that are not affected by the flipping, use A H I M O T U V W X Y.
Of course, the problem with this is that you would need to have a reference chart printed to know what's what until you memorize them.
Personally, I like the color coding but I would put the colors on the forward (nose) part of the Torp.:hmm:
I was thinking in to put numbers on them, but the program flips the torpedoes images to put them into stern or bow tubes.

Erm, this may sound stupid, but why don't you just flip the numbers on the image itsself? The program will flip it right back to the way it should, no?

I'm pretty sure he means that there is only one image, and the program uses it "normal" for bow tubes and the same image "flipped" for stern tubes, so there's no way to keep the numbers from looking flipped/mirrored one way or the other.
BTW - great mod idea but my vote would also be for putting the color coding on the noses rather than the body of the torps (or maybe a combination of the two - i.e., lighter gray bodies for steam/old tech, darker grey/black bodies for electrics/new tech, with maybe one nose color for all low-yield and a second nose color for all high-yield warheads) - also, I would prefer the more muted color schemes - I think you could convey the idea without being quite so "sixties" :D

As Panthercules wrote, you can do i, but dont helps, becaise the program uses only one image, then you will have a correct image only in bow or stern tubes.

The use of roman numbers is posible as described above, y was thinking in points, just points, but may be not easy to read.

Yes... was thinkin on that....

Was thinking in to colored the nose... one color for each type as now, and colored the body, for electrics and steamers.
May be into the Stage 2 ...
Thnaks boys for comments !

Why not just put the name normally on one end and inverted on the other? That way when it is inverted it will still be normal on one end and inverted on the other. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the mod.
