What are the chances of this mod for SH4?. Havent tried it, but looked like a cool mod for SH3!

Well Hi and thanks Uberstein is a lot of fun that is for sure, however
I took a hard look at it just last night and I dont think Ill move the
sh3 version over here to sh4.

I did a run through the datafile in sh4 and spent some time
in the museum as well looking at it and thinking it over.

however if I do make an ubermod for sh4 it will be based on
a late war Balao class already in sh4 uber isnt just the boat
its about balance and feel and how to make a surface combat
player experience thats worthy within the framework of a subsim.

the truth is that as I look at whats being done early on a lot
of people are doing uberesque things but uber is rebalance
not just a hardening and upgrading of the sub. so there are
reasons why I still might because the whole "Feel" aspect of
play is important and an auto 88 mm while a lot of fun to
use takes away player vulnerability in the feel and to
make a game worthwhile a player needs to fear making
mistakes and losing his ship.

I love both the atlantic and pacific campaigns and both have
truly epic histories, but as uber was primarily a learning tool
for me I am considering that Id like at this point to focus on
historical corrections in sh4 , history is my first love before
gaming, and there is a lot I can find in sh4 that it is within
my own ability to fix There is quite a bit of stuff
that I havent seen anybody working on so once some of
my sh3 projects start getting sewn up Ill open up on some
sh4 projects, whether or not I do an ubermod for SH4 really depends
on whether or not someone else does it first. if they do before I
get to it then no and if they dont before I get to it then
yes.

either way someone else or me sooner or later there
will be a viable surface combatant sub in sh4.
