Sh4 using shells.sim/zon in data/lib dir?

Anyone know if SH4 is using the shells.sim/zon files for the guns in SH4, or is it a leftover artifact from SH3? If its not using those files, what is the game using? I can't seem to find any file that looks like it might be it.

Duc I know Privateer has been in and looked at the gun dats in
detail in sh4 but Im not certain if he meant those ones or
another set somewhere else, I havent really looked for them
yet myself as Im still completely mesmerized by sh3 still and
its vast remaining potential. I suggest a pm to privateer
will likely gain you accurate info on this issue.

Ducimus those are the files I tweaked with the mini tweaker for my last mod, so yes they are used.
