SH4 Radio Station
A tribute to the movie about MTB RON3...
When you are with-in 500nm of Manila Bay tune in!
http://www.compuglobalhypermeganet.tv/images/sh4/Mtbs3.GIF

The station is valid from Dec 1st 1940 to Feb 22nd 1942
(the day 3 boats snuck MacArthur out to Mindanao) ...can you guess the movie?

[Filefront Download]
Sisiman_Cove_Radio.zip (http://files.filefront.com/Sisiman_Cove_Radiozip/;7174030;;/fileinfo.html)

1) edit your sh4\Data\Sound\Radio\radio.ini

[CHANNEL]
Name=Sisiman Cove xx135.20xx
Folder=Sisiman
Freq=135
Antenna=01.12.1940-22.02.1942:15.00,121.00:1100
;approx 500nm

* Make sure channel 135 is not with-in 10 +/- of another channel

2) Unzip to a temp folder

3) Copy the folder \Sisiman to your sh4\Data\Sound\Radio\

4) Navigate over to Manila and Start-up your radio and tune into channel 135 (with options\Music =ON) Didn't want to make it loud, you may need to turn-up your Music slider.

Enjoy! -this is my first upload, so please lmk if it worked or not.

Thanks to "tedhealy" for the method of writing the "Radio.ini" and CapnCox for the idea.

Sounds like a great idea! I'll definitely check it out.

There most certainly will not be a shortage of radio stations for people to tune in :rock:

Thanks tedhealy/Sir! It's all your fault :up:

Thought it would be fun to create a micro-location / time-frame station. I think I've got the dates right?..

Here's a Radio.ini I've been tweaking/experimenting ( based on you Mod)
http://www.compuglobalhypermeganet.tv/images/sh4/radio.ini

I've created folders per each station and placed CapnCox's CBS news \events folder in each allied one (date applicable) for news broadcasts.

Pretty soon we're gonna need a SubSim FCC for bandwith seperation and licensing.

Cheers!

Just giving it a quick glance over, the radio.ini looks good to me. You may want to check some of those longer station names out in game if you haven't already though. I'm not sure how well the radio handles long names.

Thanks for taking a look. The longer names seem to be behaving atleast upto 23 characters:
Sisiman Cove xx135.20xx
Tokyo Rose xx56.50xx

Cheers!
