[REQ] S-18/42 mod help

The S-18 is my fav boat and I could use some modding help.

Item 1) I would like the aa gun available in 42, currently it's only an option starting in 43. I know this has something to do with the tower.

Item 2) I would like the S-18 available in Freemantle in 42 and 43, I've mucked around with this a bit and can get it to showup but when I start a career the game ctd's...
obviously Im missing something.

Any help?

1) What I tried was to change the dates so the tower was avail sooner and it worked.
I guess changing the 1 to 2 would have cause it to be avail as well.

2) What I want here is for the s-18 to be avail as a starting option in at least 42 and 43, Freemantle does not offer it in any year.
I have tried modding the careerstart.upc and the flotilla.upc with the appropriate
info and I get the boat to show up as an option in 42 and 43 but when the first patrol starts the game ctd's...so I must be missing something.

One question, did these boats originally start out with a 3 inch gun at the begining of the war? Strikes me as a bit odd they start with a 4inch and allow you to upgrade to a 3....

Well I just discovered that Beery has partly solved my problem
with his Pacific Theater Mod.
It seems that the S boats were available at Freemantle prior to
April 15th 1942, of course career start there is between June 10th
and 15th (usually the 11th for me) his mod adds 16 new start dates
and he has the S18 there until June 19th 1942 with the earliest start
being April 1st 1942, there are 5 start dates with the S18 now.
Only a few months but enough for a few patrols...I would like to
move the end date for the S18 into late 43 but not sure what that will
could screw up. I'll find out the hard way!

I wonder if the dates on the other objectives can be changed
without screwing up something else in the game?

Just realized that some of these objectives might be out of an S-18's fuel range.
Celebes Sea would be ok and a few from the other boats like Makassar Strait
would work.

The s-boats started armed with 4" guns, but later those 4" guns were passed to bigger boats.
