Hi this is my first post so hopefully you would be able to assist me.

I’m using GWX 1.03 and I must say it is excellent! Everbody involved in this must get a pat on the back for a job well done. Currently playing on 87% realism as I like to have the external views enabled. However the water colour to my liking is a bit too dark as I like to follow torpedoes and I can hardly see my sub when underwater.

I have searched the boards but I could not find a mod that would lighten the water colour a bit. Perhaps you can help me with a mod or even editing a config file to achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi mate! Welcome to Subsim.

Forum member and fellow GWX Dev Teamer "JScones" has produced a program called SH3 Commander... Using this program you cand change the water opacity. (Water opacity is for many users, monitor dependant.)

Give me a moment and I will post the links to SH3 Commander here.

In the meantime... since you are a "Bilge Rat"... here is your potato peeler!

Fritz is waiting for you in the galley.

Its onion peeling time too.;)

Be right back.

What those two combined offer to SHIII is beyond what I ever thought I'd see for any game, let alone a U-boat sim.

The GWX team and SH3 Commander have really brought this game to life for me.
