Improved Status Indicators mod v1.2 **** Updated (05/18/07) ****

**Last update (05/18/07): Added a new ISI mod version for Ducimus's Flavored to Taste v2.1 -> v2.5 mod and Trigger Maru v1.x mod.


** ISI mod v1.2: Actually, the graphic files are identical as in v1. Readme updated and useless files (.tga) removed.


5 versions of the ISI mod compatible with:

- SH4 v1.2
- SH4 1.2-Beery's RFB 1.2x (also compatible with jimimadrid's green lamp mod)
- SH4 1.2-jimimadrid's shiny hud 1.2
- SH4 1.2-jimimadrid's red hud 1.2
- SH4 1.2-Ducimus's Flavored to Taste 2.x or Trigger Maru 1.x



** B_version: Same light green color as the green lamp mod buttons:

I did this one on request.
However, the indicators look a bit flat; I had to remove the shadow and glow effects of the first version to match up with the tint.
The indicators are small -> not enough space for a suitable gradient effect without darkening or fading excessively the main color.

Equally, the very small CO2 indicator may appear slightly darker although the green color used is identical.

I found that SH4 levels indicators were not easily readable, so I've added some color.


At a glance, there isn't much difference between these two indicators in stock SH4:

Also, the 4 buttons will turn yellow if you hover the mouse over them.

This mod is compatible with SH4 v1.10.

As a lot of you are already using different HUD mods, I have made my mod compatible with the following:
- Beery's Real Fleet Boat mod vxx -> v1.11
- jimimadrid shinyborder or red HUD


All versions JSGME-friendly.

I always used DarkShip's_ISI_Mod for Berry's Real Fleet Boat (also compatible with the Green Lamp mod):

Because i also use the greenlamp mod, now the greenlamp mod has been updated for patch 1.2 can this mod also be updated please.

I just spent about four hours game time, running around in circles outside of a japanese port waiting for my batteries to recharge...finally i realized that i was on the fuel tab not the battery tab--thats why i would really like to have this mod.

I wish we could have a pop up guage like it was in SH3 to look at. This does make it easier to notice what you are on. Maybe make one with different colors for each?

Fuel, Blue.
Air, Yellow.
CO2, Red.
Battery, Green.

Sorry for the delay, guys. I have been AFK for a few days.

I have first updated my chronometers to v1.2 yesterday (that's time consumming because of the different versions) and uploaded the packs today.

I will take care of the status indicators mod this evening. It should be ready for tomorrow.

Updated to v1.2, check above.

@tOmaz: B_version for Green Lamp mod done.

@Jungman: Yes, these gauges look really cheap compared to SH3.
Actually, I haven't succeeded yet in changing colors of the 4 red sliders. I tweaked the menu_1024_768.ini file with different color hex values with no result so far...
I'll see if I can get a little help on this soon.

These updates should have been released 48h ago as mentionned previously, but I lost a few hours because of a broken fan and had to take apart the whole thing to reach the power supply and replace the part (Yeah! What a day...)

sorry, I am not very good in English :oops: and I would like to install your mode wich looks cool but I have the mod "flavour to taste" installed (so I think, jimimadrid's version of HUD) and I don't understand (:oops: :oops: :oops: ) which mod I have to download to have the green lamp on the little icon (battery, fuel...)

I think that "RFB compatible" will be closest visual match for you.
I also think that u can try other and choose one because this mod
only change visual apperance of hud.
Use JGSME to install and uninstall your mods, or keep backup of orginal filles.

This is a great mod (since I'm always double checking to see if I properly selected/deselected the periscope/AA guns, etc), but if I have to choose the BS mod wins hands down since I routinely forget to turn it off when not in combat.

The BS on all tabs mod is simply a modified text file which I doubt is needed in this mod. You could find out simply by overlaying the mod and looking for a file conflict message. No file conflict = no mod conflict.

I'm confused about something in the first post.

I cannot seem to get this and the greenlamp mod to work together at the same time. Since both mods use the same file, one overwrites the other depending on which one is loaded in the JSGME first.

What's the workaround for this...did I grab the wrong file or something? From the first post, it looked like the _B version was the one for this. I guess I read that wrong?

As U-Bones said, you can add the ISI mod with the BS mod or any other one (whether it modifies text datas or graphic files).
The only mods, at the moment AFAIK..., that modify the hud display are Beery's RFB, Ducimu's FTT or Trigger Maru and jimimadrid's 2 hud versions.
You can find the corresponding versions of the ISI mod for those different huds and, of course, for stock SH4v1.2 on the first post.

You're right, the first post is not clear on this point. Actually, I had removed on the last update the line mentioning that the ISI mod for Beery's RFB 1.2x is also compatible with jimmimadrid's green lamp mod. (corrected now)

No need to tweak files, install the ISI mod for Beery's RFB on top of the others you may have already installed (confirm overwriting file in JSGME) and you will have jimimadrid 's green lamp mod with the ISI mod.

Thanks DarkShip. Redwine actually made a combined mod, taking the HUD.dds from Green lamp and ISI mod 1.2_SH4 1.2_B; then I added the Green position keeper files, and now I have one simple "All Green Lights" mod.

Congrats for your great RFB, Beery. It's hudge step in improving SH4. :up:
Regarding the ISI mod, I have removed the hud.tga file (since v1.2) as some of the .tga(s) are not directly used by the program in SH4.
IMO, this hud.tga, like many other tga files from SH3 left in SH4 folders are just a sequel of the original development idea to include SH4 as an addon to SH3.
I still can't figure out why nobody in the dev team has taken the -small- time needed to remove all these useless files.

I am so sorry, in the file i uploaded first, i forget credits for Iceberg for All Crew to Battlestations and Silent Running on all Task Bars.

I removed the file, y will upload a new one with original green buttons and a second version with a darken green.

I highlight.... all credits for the mods owners not for me. I only have yet done into my installation, that things some people needs...

For those interested to have these mods merged.... (for stock instruments rings, not shinny, not red)
