Red NAV Map

Is there any way to remove the red from the nav map at night? It would make it easier for me to read.

Sure, one could take away that filter or at least modify it...should I ?

Should be able to, you can remove the alpha from the textures, someone did that for SH3 so why not here. But I think it may have caused the red to be gone on the scope IIRC.

Played around with it and got rid of the "RED NIGHT" filter, but the color still changes from a blueish light (night) to bright (day) not as strong as it was originally but there is a slight difference still.

I removed the file to see what would happen, and other than getting a warning message about the missing file, it seemed to work. It may not be identical but it's much better. It's readable for me.

At any rate, I'm going to have to give up on SH4 until I get a new computer someday. I'm getting delays in moving to compartments, and stuttering etc. My HD is thrashing quite a bit when in a mission. It could be because I only have 1 gig of RAM. The frame rate is acceptable though.
