I apologize if this has already been done + posted, I'm haven't run a search.
But as I just imported all my old Das Boot soundtrack tunes to the Gramophone folder, I wanted to go about making it so I can listen to them without having to hear the in-game music as well.
Here's what to do:
1 - Download a free program like NeoSound FX
2 - Record nothing (silence) for however much time, loop it if you want
3 - Export this project in .ogg format, in my case to a file titled Nosound.ogg
4 - Go to Data\Sound\Music folder
5 - Make a backup copy of the original file
6 - Open it in Notebook and replace all references to other files with your Nosound.ogg
This has been tested, and it works.
Also, and this is just common sense, if you want your own songs in the game just copy/paste to the Data\Sound\Gramophone folder.
