Hello everyone!
I have installed the japan attack mod... very nice!
but i have a problem: in museum all airplanes have got a problem: the propellers!
I can't see props, but there are only white roundings quadrate textures!
Is only a my problem?

In SH3 the Helix is a tga in the dat file.
In Sh4 they use a node like multi skinning to call an outside texture.
try placeing a helix.tga in the textures folders.
If that don't work, all plane dats need work!

there are also 2 files in the textures folder, for the helix, but i also think the problem is in dat files. It need to be disassembled? :hmm:

OK. Just tracked files so:
Name the helix.tga
Prop_black.tga
and see what happens.
You can also try placeing this
in the aircraft folder itself maybe?

If this does not work then I'd say
the tga needs inserted into each aircrafts dat file and
the dat corrected to use it.

Sorry, but Ubi never promised this would be easy.
Just "easier" to mod.
In some ways it is easier to mod,
in others it's the same,
then in still others,
it's some new learning to be done.

OK. Spent a few hours playing with this.
ALL planes from SH4 NEED the helix.tga inserted into the dat.
Then corrections ala SH3 made to the dat.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Try placing the prop_black.tga file in both texture folders (TLowRes and TNormal).

Moin,

the properties of an cfg#TXR node may be hex edited to make texture files transparent too.
