Nice one, thanks for sharing! :yep:
it looks pretty and all, and kinda nice... except you should probably take a picture without all the glare from the sun or maybe that was the flash?
it looks funny :)

C:\Programme\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Textures\TLowRes\tex kopieren das Originalfile sichern.
Q? It is the TlowRes I put the map in ? Its just that your root folder in the down load the map is located in the TNormal folder
would seem a bit strange in 1943 to see that the war will end in 1945 lol. would be far better if the dates where taken off inho... ;) unless they could see into the future then ;) :)

Outstanding Idea, I got the game via D2D and was really missing having that map. What a great solution.

Terrific idea thank you....however......Having downloaded etc I have made aright mess!
"SHIFT +F2" is now occupied by another mod I put on. Not realising so I pressed "SHIFT+F2" and everything crashed out on me.
I have no idea the amount of work that goes into doing these mods....but is it possible to make the mod printable or can you explain to me how to put it on a.n.other key.
Just say Yes or No.....I will understand.....Why should I be special for my own stupid mistake !!!????

Doesn't look bad, but "1941-1945"? I bet they wish they knew what was coming.

Nice mod to look at the map while moving around in the command room. Is there any way to have it with no glare effect? Thanks man.
Good mod, I see the map but when I use shift + F2, viex is not center on the map..... but on the corner of the table ! (I will put a capture later) :damn: Strange... Is there a particulary mean to proceed please? Thank you !

When you hit Shift+F2 you are on free camera mode inside control room. The view starts placed in the corner of the table, use cursors (just like in external view) to move the camera
 lol sorry ! :rotfl: thank you for your precious help !

It was definately a great idea.
I'm about to release what I think is a slightly better version....
http://www.mayhemonstrings.com/Images/map.jpg
My only gripe is I want the shipping lanes to be accurately represented, but all the campaign layer mods are all changing the shipping lanes.
I need to do custom versions for various mods I suppose, and I'm also playing around with the idea of an ini that will change the map image for various years.

Wouldn't having that map be a good starting point / reference anyway regardless of the campaign mod, since the modders are trying to be accurate? Or was that map based on the original lanes using the spawn points in the game?
I was wondering if it would be possible to display maps based on the year after this idea was first released. Would be really cool if you could do this! Maybe you and IIElohiMII could put your heads together and come up with a way to do that.
Big thanks to both of you. I like this idea better than the pull down map.

Is that the one ^^^ from the Pull Down Mod?
Yes, that's the dds from Captain Cox's pulldown version. I placed it there
just to test the sizes and locations of the various subs and how much the maps get cropped, then searched for a new map to redo shipping lanes on.
I think I am going to go with this one....

I've tried several different ones, but this one is the cleanest, which will allow the new markings.
http://www.mayhemonstrings.com/Images/new.jpg
What I really want to do is gather some information so that I can make sure the shipping lanes marked coincide with what's being done in the other mods.

Monolith, I love the map you have selected. That is awesome:up: When is it available? Pull down as well?
Google Pacific maps, and at the top of the page, select 'images', and you will see what I had to choose from.
Lots of maps, but most of them have so much extra info crap on them, they're too full to add new info. This one is a little more plain than I would like, but once I alter and add to it, it should be sweet.
I'm not planning a pulldown version, with ROW camera you can just walk over to it and look down at it as zoomed as you wish.
This shows up on several different tables in all the subs.
Release? Don't know yet. I want to do a lot more stuff as well besides the map. i reall want to test out an ini set up to swap the dds's by year, so you get a different, accurate map for each year.
I'd really like some help gathering modded shipping lane changes from TM and RSRD, etc.
Work in progress.....

Just watch one of those DDS files in the Radar room one of them also effect's the crate on the floor and C.C. had a problem with it at one time for the map's and stuff.
MONOLITH

Yeah Leo. The issue with the crates, was Captain Cox put an extra chart and some nav tools onto the wood grain to the left of the table. That's the part that shows up on the crates, not the map.
And look at this....
I just realized how closely the map I found on the net looks like the stock map in game....
Stock map from Vanilla SH4....

The one I found on the net....

The main difference in mine is a high res, when you zoom in you can read the lables.
I might still go with a different one. Not sure yet.
I like how the rolled up ones in the background change as you change them main map. cool

Roger on THAT Steve! LOL Nicely done but for me it "reduces the immersion" if you see what I mean, unlike Vargas pics on bulkheads, which I can stare at for hours and stay "in period"!

theyre nice :) did 4 or 5 of these a while back for own use only textured differantly, only thing i never really liked about them was the fact that the game seemed to crop the map for you and you lost the edges.
Hey Monolith- How's the progress?
