Hello! I have a question regarding editing depthcharges in the exellent Mini tweaker program.
Early in the war, the subhunters didnt realise that subs could go much deeper than before. This meant that subs now and then was able to dive deep and get away. This seems to be modeled in SH3. Because if I go below 150 m ( early in war). The depthcharges explodes above me. I find this quite boring, after a while. Then I took a look a the minitweakerprogram, and found out that it is possible to edit the depthcharges. Now. Some of the settings I understand but not all. I would be glad if you could help me out here.
Here we go:
I loaded the "depthcharges.sim file in the minitweaker and the following lines comes up:
A. Fall speed. This I understand. In meters, right?
B. Detonate depth? Dont understand. If a set a value of, say, 25? What happens?
C. Depth precision? Dont understand. If I set a value of 2. Does this means that it will explode within 2 meters of my sub?
D. Explosion range? The sub will shake and rock within a certain distance?
E. Explosion impulse? Sorry lost here too..
Then I load up the "depthcharges.zon"
A. MinEf 250? What does that mean?
B. MaxEf 200? What does that mean?
C. Minradius. I think i got this one. If the depthcharge explodes within a certain distance, the sub will be damaged. or?
D.Maxradius. Ehhm, need some help here.
Lastly, what I would like to do is to make the depthcharges travel beyond 150 meters early in the war. So I dont get bored to death.
Some stupid questions perhaps. But this seems to be the place to ask these kind of questions.
