Here is my other file, again, second opinions and feedback appreciated!

http://files.filefront.com/reduced__renown_cost_mod7z/;6966778;;/fileinfo.html

Not sure when my next file will be, but hey, only a small contribution but heck, better than nothing I guess.

We all know how to change the renown. ;) I give myself 7000.0000 and why you all ask? Simple the renown is BS. Do you think U-Boat captains had this silly system, answer no they did not. But I don't always rush out and get what I want.

Thanks PG and congratulations on what I would assume to be a second
test success.

Wake up it's your second. ;)

Go and have a cigar and a pint and work on your next one. How about a nuclear torpedo that can take a whole convoy. ;)

Oh yes, it was my second. Though technically this got made first!:rotfl:

:o

I don't drink pints. :nope: I'm more of a fine wine person. What I want to do, is to make the U-boat not vulnerable to aircraft, and I think I just may have figured out how to do it.

What I am thinking is that the U-boat's armour rating has something to do with their vulnerability to bullets. If the Armour is at a certain level then I'm thinking it will become impervious to gunfire again. Im gonna compare GWX to Stock and see.

i donīt like renown system.

I donīt think that kriegsmarine limited decisive tecnical upgrades depending of the tonnage sunk.

iīm going to remove it and be able to upgrade all things without any cost. :hmm:

I feel just the opposite. Higher scoring captains get first access to new toys. Lower scoring captains get the boot (and not that one).

I usually edit my career to give myself a lump of renoun
Dont spend it until certain upgrades are available
I use the renoun I earn for all others

As Steve said if I was a crap Kpt I wouldnt be given a shiny new boat all singing and dancing but would be taking my battered type 7 out again

Schnorkels and bolds are a must and I use my " added renoun" for that stuff

But thats me

Glad to see your mods, but weren't u-boats vulnerable to bullets? I can't think they had any real armour. Maybe .30 calibers were no worry but .50 calibers or of course 20mm...or worse the 57mm carried by a mark of the Mosquito. Gawd, lucky we're not Japanese merchant skippers having to face the B-25 (H I think) armed with a 75mm cannon! :o

Yes they were, vulnerable to bullets. But for the purposes of noobs I thought it'd be a good idea to make a mod that can allow them to learn and develop strategies to fight aircraft without being heavily punished for it.
