The Super Hyper Main Menu 2000!!

First of all, thank you for JCWolf for giving me this idea! :rock:

In one of his mods, a loading screen is changed to a office view with a window that shows the harbour. I though, hmmm... why not make a main menu with the background movie changed to a movie shot in the harbor.

It took some fiddling around with RADvideo tools, but I finally got the video to play without it being messed up. Now, you see a living harbour thru the window when you are on the main menu. ;) Still need change pretty much everything, as this was just a test to see how it would look like. Stay tuned.

thats pretty cool. nice idea (to all involved) i havnt seen anyone do anything like this before. i think the graphics could be touched up a little but as you said its not finished :up: also if its not too much work, the building looks like it is on the very edge of the water. if you could do it with a bit of the dock platform outside the widow, that would be ace

or meybe somthing like "Commander Dowly" (in german ofcourse) to have a more realistic feel

you could extend the chalkboard to incorporate the name at the top of the screen

The night version is ready in a few minutes, so stay tuned for that. The quality is still "Star Wars far far away" from the quality of JCWolf or pretty much anyone who has done menus, so dont get your hopes up. Tho, I will most likely be updating the mod for a few weeks or so with different approaches/rooms etc.

The white box in the window wont be there in game. The video is pretty short, ~1min so you propably see the ugly looping if you stare at it too long. My HD space is used up atm, so cant record longer video.
