EDIT: I've had to take these files down for a little while. They were pulling a bit more bandwidth then i'd have liked. Sorry folks. Ill put them back up again later though.

I know i said im done modding, and technically this isnt anything new. I've been sitting on it for awhile, and almost deleted it the other day with alot of other stuff.. you know.. clearing out the garbage i wont be using anymore. Anyway, i figured id share the wealth.

This isnt an orginal work, just a replacing of layers here or there, particuarlly in the radio room.


Item of note: Type 7 interior is from NYGM with the location of the observation periscope fixed.

Part of this fix they moved the cheif to be at the ready stance all of the time. Im not particuarlly sure why they did this, i can only guess its because the diving officer position had, i beleive, some sort of bicycle seat or something else to sit on. I dont think they STOOD the entire time while at station. This is conjecture on my part.

Just to reiterate, this is NOT an original work. I took primarly the textures that came packaged in TW2.2, and spliced a few GWX textures into ithere or there.


But yeah, it looks nice in game. Not so hospital clean now!

Absolutely. Yes, I know you just take them from NYGM, but thanks anyway for giving us the possibility to have those textures in GWX, it's a very nice detail that adds much to the immersion in game.... Sometimes, that's the smallest thing that makes it look.... just real. :huh:

SH4, 5, 6, etc. can come, there's still something to add/mod....

SH3 WILL NEVER DIE. SH3 FOREVER. :rock:

Im not sure the textures in that dat can be packed. At any rate, im not touching that mod with a 12 foot pole, working on that mod is WAY beyond me - and yes im done monkey'ing around with sh3 files.

The mods are not the same at all.

Textures are pulled from NYGM 2.2's texture directory. Where they came from, from there, i do not know, and frankly don't care. Whoever did them, they did a good job, and ive said twice in this thread that i didn't do them - and that, frankly, is all that matters to me.

edit: the ONLY thing i did do, was two things:

a.) i redid some of the texture formatting so they could be packed into a dat.
b.) retouched some of the Radrio room because i thought the orginal white cabinent trim wasn't desierable, so i took some of GWX's textures and overlayed them onto some of the radio room texture files.

Frankly, being accused of "doing a donuts" is why i say time and time again that when something isnt an orginal work, i make sure i say so. It's not like i went here and said "Hey, I created these from scratch! Ain't my worki bad ass?!" No.... thats what donuts did.

There are few things i can claim "intellectual rights" to, and texture's of any shape or form aint it.

So thats THREE times (or is it four?) that ive said i didnt create it.

LOL, you did look at the screenshots didnt you? While i've disected NYGM nine ways to sunday, whats installed on my drive is GWX.

edit:
I suppose i should have specefied that, but i didnt really think it mattered. the DAT just contains the raw construction of the interior. Most of the guage fixes and such are in the sim files. You could concievalby use these dats in any mod you wanted, but the gauge fixes wouldn't carry over without the sim files.

Both supermods make use of the sim file gauge fixes, so there wasn't any point in including them in.

Can't tell you off the top of my head. Get the texture dat extraction program and pull them out of the dat. Most surfaces textures are reused and wrap around objects, *some* (maybe like 1 or 2) are not. Offhand i think the radioroom desk shares the same texture as the captains bunk, so it might not be possible.

did you try your "rusty look"-texture files with the OpenHatch before packing them into the *.dat file by placing them into the tex folder? In case you didnīt rework the UV mapping they should fit OpenHatch as well. Iīve been asked a few times whether your mod can be enabled on top of OpenHatch. Just think about offering your reworked texture files (to be copied to ...\SHIII\data\Textures\TNormal\tex folder).

Please download you this MOD: http://www.mediafire.com/?wmyztnmgzdq The Name of the File is in german language ....mit Rost ! It means in english ...with rusty !

After downloading you must open by yourself the .dat File in the Interior Folder with S3D Tool and extract by yourself and one by one the required rusty .tga Files !
After extract the files you can put the .tga Files into the Texture Folder (....Textures\TNormal\tex) and thatīs it !!!!!

Sorry, I donīt have an download Link only with .tga Files, but I know that the rusty .tga Files are embedded in this MOD !

The Interior Folders of this MOD based on WAC ! You can not just take over the Interior Folder in your SH3!

The Interior Folder (and the .dat Files) are only for extract the rusty .tga Files !
