Currently using GWX 1.02 with some modified files combining the GWX Intergrated Orders and the Periscope TDC mod. Specifically, for this question, a modified menu_1024_768.cfg file.
This has been working fine for several gaming sessions but the other day I had an odd event where upon loading a save game, I was greeted with crashes, bangs, and screams, SH3 said I died from a collision. In the middle of the ocean! Restart and try loading the same save game and CTD. Reload and all my save games are gone/not recogized by SH3. Though they are still in the Documents/SH3 folder. Go figure.
Despite the fact that it has been working I took a look at my modded menu_1024_768.cfg file and note that I have several repeating entries between the [....] such as [G3F I300] which is in there twice though the data following is different. So my question is....
Does SH3 pay attention to the letters, number, sequencings, that are located between the [.....] in the menu_1024_768.cfg?
Thanks!
The standard GWX 1.2 goes to [G3F I299], what data is in the group?:-? If I had to guess I'd say it was part of "Intergrated Orders", I don't know anything about this mod.
Either way there should not be 2 groups the same, though it should cause no effect, the second entry will just overide the first!:yep:
Sorry I can't be of much help but don't think it would cause the problem you are getting!:x

Reece,
The "Group Information" directly under the [....] is different. Its the numbers letter between the [] that are the same. If SH3 does not pay attention the letters/numbers between the [...] then this is not causing a problem. Essentially I cut and pasted the Periscope TDC .cfg entries to the GWX IO menu.cfg. I didn't realize the some of the numbers/letters between the [] repeated.
Unless some kind mod-master wants to make a combined IO/Periscope/UZO TDC (GWX 1.02 compatable). A transparent background and slide-out would be a bonus!
I think Ducimus has incorporated this into his tweak pack v5e, I don't know if you know about my Sliding Stations Panel But I do have my own version (not listed) that incorporates my SSP & Precision periscope mod into one pack for GWX 1.2, if you want I can upload for you.:yep:
I have changed the zoom aspect though as there is a bug with the Precision Periscope mod's UZO, if you look out 180degrees then press the zoom keys (Shift - & Shift =) you will see what I mean, I fixed this by applying the zoom to mouse wheel, works well, now in increments with no problems.
Cheers.

Yes please, if you could upload it I would be mighty appreciative.
Many thanks.
P.S. I just visited your page and remembered I had d/l'ed your "SH3 mini-mods" previously. I found your sound file trick very cool and meant to send you a PM with my thanks. Works very well!

Thanks Reece.
I found the "read me" quite informative so, as a test, I added some of your little .cfg tweaks to my current set-up.
While I was there I relettered and renumbered the Sliding Periscope TDC portion between the [...] to put it in a logical sequence with the end of the stock menu_1024_768.cfg.
NOTE TO SELF: Yes indeed SH3 pays attention the the lettering/numbering between the [....]
Had many problems till I changed it back to the way it was, runs fine now apparently.
Can anyone explain the system logic of the letters/numbers between the [....]???
