Has there ever been a better (and faster) way to select a country from the recognition manual? Did someone mod this?
If I am looking at a DD on Englands page and then I want to look at a merchant it takes forever to switch books and get to the right page.:damn:

When you have the ship in your scope sights, click on the SHIP tag on the notepad. This will take you to the correct page of the recognition manual;)

This isnt exactly true. You have to first identify the ship before it will do that. You cannot just put the crosshairs on a newly sighted ship and click the word "ship" in the notepad and have it work. At least mine wont.

OK I see what your problem is. You're using manual targeting and no-contact updates isnt it? In that case I'm affraid you have to flip through the manual on your own, as it is part of the realism settings:nope:

I am still thinking about tools for people who run SHIII with two computers.
An easy one would be a simple to use program to browse the available data (ship silouette, technical data, faction info etc) - in Windows of course.
That would not be too awfully hard to make. But I am not sure if there is interest in such a tool ..

I dont mind flipping through the manual I just wish there was a faster way to get to a specific country or to the merchant book quickly...or go through the pages faster.
