Hi, I have finally gotten around to doing this::D

View with Pane out:

The mod is JSGME ready, no configuring needed, I have a different Leer.tga file as when text messages comes in white it is hard to read with the existing Leer, I have included some other small mods such as Hiding NavMap Tools & Getting rid of Screen Titles, there are readme's supplied if you wish to reverse engineer these.:yep:

Cheers,

Nice job with the sidebar.

On the lower UI, I once did somethin similar once except the txt window was static, and then the station icons and dial's were on seperate sliders. In the end i gave it up, just wasn't my cup of tea after awhile. But the UI sliding out of the way, REALLY helps at night when on the bridge. You can see MUCH better with the UI out of the way.

Im sure alot of people will really enjoy this mod and find it helps with the immersion factor. Particuarlly those who are used to using keyboard shotcut keys and not the mouse as much ;)

I'm not familiar with that mod, if you mean the dials that slide from the right of the screen probably not, If I'm not mistaken they replace the stations dials. No effect on the engineers dials that slide on the left. :-? Post an image.

you should merge this with FABC slide out (included with GWX)

Reece

The FABC is the left hand slide & it is not effected.

I dont have to look at the files to be sure the answer is no. Any mod which alters the functionality of the UI deals with the 1024_768.ini file. That makes them inheirantly incompatiable with one another.

Hi & sorry, I found a bug with the transparency & have fixed, what I did was to change an existing partial transparent background to fully transparent but this causes problems in other areas, so I had to create a separate background just for this mod, so it cannot interfere with other areas.:yep:

Dare I say ... sorry again Venatore!!:88)

Hartmann,
I think all the slideouts have to go at the same speed. You can slow it down or speed it up, but I don't think you can delay it.
Lightening61,
I use it with intigrated orders and it works fine. I haven't tried it with the other mod, but I don't see why it wouldn't

Thanks for the feedback!:D As Irish said you can't make a delay, but you can change the slide speed by editing the menu_1024_768.ini:
[Settings]
SlidingSpeed=1200;pixels per second
If you want it faster change SlidingSpeed to equal 2000 or what ever you want!
Cheers.

PS. If you do change it using JSGME, disable the SSP mod first then edit the menu_1024_768.ini in the SSP mod not the games version.:yep:

I am wondering if I could do this with the FLB Simfeeling Mod, a partial transparent background so as to not screw up the other stuff in the mod:hmm:

The Simfeeling mod is separate to GWX & not compatable with this mod, (however it could be) are you referring to the Simfeeling mod or the FABC mod?:-?
Can you post a picture to show the problem?:yep:

No pic yet, but some of the readme:

This is my favourite Draggable tools mod collection for GWX

Copy this two folders in your MODS folder and follow this JSGME enabling order:

1)GWX - Integrated Orders <------ needed!
2)DragableTools GWX<------------- needed!
3)DragableTools GWX update for XXI<---------optional if you are using a XXI uboat.

Version history:

v 1.01 :added Wazoo's draggable Nomograph at the bottom of the map
added Mav's torpedo speed chart in the upper left side of the map
added preferences

Credits:FLB Sale u-99,Wazoo,Mav87th,Pascal and many others whose names I can't remember who worked at the new textures, and obviously all the GWX team as I started from their work.

This is one that Antanio did awhile back, I am not home so I don't have a pic for you but could post later, I thought I would post some of the read me. The mod is a combo of other related mods. I really like the idea of a partial background as I to want to read the text, but as mentioned it interferes with the TDC in the Attack Per.

Hope any of this helps. Thanks again:up:

If the mod changes any of the stations panel at the bottom then it isn't compatable, if not then the best I can do is for you to send me a copy of your menu_1024_768.ini file & I will make the changes then pack with other needed files in there correct folders, zip it up & send to you, you could then drag the folder over you mod files thus combining the mods, best this way with shared files.:D

No it changes them. Removes the smaller dials and replaces them with the 6 dial slide-out. Also, portions of the TDC are locked in the Attack Periscope.

Thanks anyway Reece.

Oh well, if you have the SimFeeling mod installed with JSGME and want a change it would be easy to take one out & put one in!;) Cheers.

Hi AVGWarhawk, the mod is ready and the download link is shown, enjoy!

I tried it with the 6 dial and nothing showed up. Now if I removed the sliding panel and put in the 6 it worked. So the 2 mods just don't want to talk to each other. Just terrible. :damn: I would love to have both of those set up and runing!!!

Hi, AVGWarhawk, This mod is JSGME ready just extract contents to Mods folder or if doing it manually then extract to a tempory folder, enter folder "GWX - Sliding Stations Panel" and copy (drag) data folder to SilentHunterIII folder.
Sorry I just assume everybody uses JSGME.
Cheers.

Edit: The three text files just let you know what has been modded so that if you want to play around, such as adding the 6 dials simFeeling mod, you can use this as a guide.

Hi, although the previous version of my SSP works ok I did notice a fault with the Leer, namely a double up! I didn't know one existed, the fault has been fixed:

As I said it doesn't show in the game but I like things to be done correctly!

Would it be possible for someone to combine the 6 dial with the lowering GUI? I think for operational eye-candy that would set me up.

Reece - great mod. I really like the intuitive new icons and the clear background to the GUI. Is there a way to fix it in place so it doesn't auto-hide? I guess I spend too much time whizzing the mouse around and the poor dials are up and down like a yo-yo.

Cheers,

RD.

Hi Rocketdog, the whole idea of the mod is to slide it away to give you a clear screen for snapshots, I couldnt find how to pin it so gave that idea away!:-?
Two ways to choose:

1) In the menu_1024_768.ini replace the block [G3F I33] with the original data should stop it sliding!
2) Dont install the mod except for the Bkgr2.tga file and in the menu_1024_768.ini file Replace bkgr.tga to bkgr2.tga in the following blocks:
[G3F I87, 88, 91, 137, 147, 153]

The latter is the best method if transparency on lower Panel is all that is required.:D
