A few days ago I did a comprehensive search for info on this, but came up empty. IIRC,
the issues with the XXI in the original game were as follows:
1. Radar detector would break and become inoperative as soon as it was turned on
(fixed according to the 1.02 readme).
2. At snorkel height the detection algorithm of the AI would see the boat as if it was
surfaced, not as if the only thing visible was the snorkel.
3. The batteries didn't work right-too slow recharging, too fast discharging, wouldn't
charge back up to 100%.
4. You couldn't use the sonar to get a good solution (beyond the limits of the base
SH3 code IIRC).
So just wondering what the status was on 2 & 3. 1 I know about and 4 probably
can't be remedied.
