Atention High Res fix

For those who have that Problem with the Old visible console with high Res Mod.

I have made this mod with my normal 1024x768 , so i cannot tell you how it works on high Res Mod.
Maybe it is not compatible with the HighRes Mod.....

Try this:

Find this Block on the menu_1024_768:

[G3F I34]
Name=Group feedback
Type=1026;Menu group
ItemID=0x3F010000
ParentID=0x3F000000
;Pos=691,131,330,130
Color=0xFFFFFFFF
VertSlide=-141

and change the Pos line and VertSlide line into this:

;Pos=691,-200,330,130
Color=0xFFFFFFFF
VertSlide=-500

Hope this Helps...

Fek.

Same thing as before when trying to run this mod. When you mouse down to bring up your Officer Icons there is another flyout that comes up with it. It is a semi-transparent rectangle behind the officer icons consisting of the Compass, Speed and Depth Dials. These dials are the same size as the stock console ones which appear on the right of the stock UI. There is also a vertical time compression control on the right hand side of the flyout.

The 3 dials do not show accurate readings (ie compass always shows a course of due north) but if you click on them the boat responds. Right now my SH3 install is SH3, 1.4b, GWX, GWX 1.02 and this mod. Enabled mods are 16km, integrated orders, lite traffic. This is a fresh install as of today. Everything that had anything to do with SH3 was deleted and cleared including the use of CCleaner and ATF cleaner. Nothing survives those two utilities including registry keys.

I would but screens are 5 MB .tga beasts. I don't have anything to convert them or resize them atm. I guess there is a rogue file floating around in this mod that my nvidia vid card or something picks up on.

Unfortunatley even using your set of officer icons don't over write the issue either Once dials and tools are installed it's there no matter what set of icos I use.

Take the screenshot...save it then open it with whatever programme your pc uses as a default picture viewer then save it from there as a jpeg :up:

Mate you've got a fix on the first post
I think you're playing on High res. and I play it 1024x768 normal window mate...

Try that fix and tell me something...:up:

Apeboy
02-21-07, 07:02 PM
Noticed the fix but my G3F I34 file looked nothing like the one you posted. It had some wierd pos numbers that didn't match, got me confused. Thats why I asked about hirez compatibility. When you said you were running in irez it got me more perplexed. :hmm:

Long story short, I rolled back the mod, made the edits, installed mod and presto, it worked. Thanks again for putting this pack together, looks awesome with your officer icon pack! :up:

http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s237/Shepelly/shot1.jpg

I found the solution for that somewhere in subsim posts about same problems with using 6-dial simfeeling mod and high res (1280x1024), I'm tried it and working for me.
Try this:

Find that Block:

[G3F I34]
Name=Group feedback
Type=1026;Menu group
ItemID=0x3F010000
ParentID=0x3F000000
;Pos=290,131,330,130
Color=0xFFFFFFFF
VertSlide=-141

and change the Pos line and VertSlide line into this:

;Pos=290,-200,330,130
Color=0xFFFFFFFF
VertSlide=-500

I'm sorry I didn't see that the JCWolf already post this fix in his first post.

Hi JCW

Like Venatore, I've just discovered your mod. Great work :rock:

Thanks for making Chomu's Integrated Orders an essential part of the install. That mod has been around for ages and I never ever thought about installing it before.

The end result is amazing...totally uncluttered screen, no more fumbling for the KP del button to clear the screen, and no more 7 or 8 clicks to get the correct compass heading! Wonderful :up:

Just one thing: I'm having a bit of a problem seeing the Integrated Orders Icons on the Nav map screen. Could you give me some idea how to change the colour of these to something that shows up better. I suppose it would have to be a colour that shows up clearly on all the other screens including interior under " rigged for red".

Would really appreciate your advice.

Hi mate,
Thanks for the words,
about the intgr. orders icons it's actually impossible
to change them as they are in the same Look as the Shortcuts Tga file,
in other words it comes as a Tga file were all the icons
are included....this means that to change them you've got to change the All icons shortcuts tga file ....

I guess it can be done with Photoshop or a similar programe...:up:

Hey Guy's, Sorry for the slow reply. Been getting over a trampling by a horse.:nope:

Anyway, the link will take you to the download page. I also downloaded Antanio's dials and removed the slideout dials from the left side of the screen, so I only have the torp controls at bottom right and dropdown spread and tube selection from top.

Sorry I cant remember all the modders to name specifically but thankyou to the best modding community on the net that I have had the pleasure to be aquainted with thus far:smug: Yes even you Vinatore:shifty::rotfl:

P.s My Dials and 1024 are also at the site if you would like to peruse over them for the deletions and adds I've had to go through.

Hi Jcwolf,

Thanks for this beautiful and useful mod.

I'm always late here in subsim (a busy RL plus working on mods on the last 2 years = no time to play or to use some new things):D
But my play time finally arrive. I guess that i will play SH3 now for some years ahead!

Well, returning to your mod. After the expalnation above please excuse me if I'm asking something that already was answered::88)

1. I need to use the two mods (V0.1 and V0.2) at same time?
2. I don't use the integrated orders mod. Using your mod means that the integrated orders will be installed without choice?
3. Do you have a more darker Periscope and Uzo views?

Thanks in advice!

Rubini.

Rubini,
1. No, just pick the version with the features that you want and use ONLY that version.

2. You must have the GWX Integrated Orders enabled first, before installing this mod. Quote from Jcwolf's original post for this mod:
"These Mods were made with the GWX-IO installed, so you have
to enable the GWX Integrated orders first before instaling
any of this versions, GWX-IO mod comes as an optional mod
with the GWX Mod"

3. You can still use FLB Sale U-999's dark Uzo/Periscope mod (It's old, but still works fine with GWX 1.02) from here at subsim:
http://www.subsim.com/subsim_files/patches05/NeuUZO_PeriV.2.zip

Thanks for the reply Steppenwolf,

I will also wait for Jcwolf reply. perhaps he could give us a darkenned Periscope and Uzo view and also a non Int. Orders needed mod.;)

A last question (a dumb one probably): this mod already have the TDC on periscope and Uzo views? If not, it's easy to merge them?

Thanks again!

Rubini,
No it doesn't have the TDC on Periscope or UZO.
A cursory look at the menu_1024_768.ini and dials.cfg that come with it, makes me think it would be easy to add it.

I mate I'm sorry to reply to you just now, but I'm very sick in Bed with the strongest Flu ever in my life...
in order:

1- No , you have to chose from one of them mate, both are the same with diference on the dials graphics, one as the original simfeeling Dials and the other the new ones more atractive ...

2- No mate, you have to install IO first I've made the mod to work along with IO...

3- I can try fixing that for you if you give me some time mate to recover!:-? :dead:

If you realy whant without IO, I can allways do it for you later on mate!!!!:up:

Ok mate, any of The Mod Files are compressed with 7z, but you can unpack or decompress with any file archiever, like winrar, winzip,...
The second reazon I believe it's hapening is that you're adding the all folder on the
7z file into JSGME, and you should just add the mod folder that comes inside the
maine Folder, Inside the maine folder it comes the mod folder and the documentation folder mate, just copy that Mod folder into JSGME Mods folder in the SHIII Directory and enable the mod bro...:up:

Thank you, I now have it on and like it very much.
If I had to make a change, I would make the chart under the Nav chart a darker color. The text is white and so is the chart. I can't speak German, so I have to depend on the text for most of the things going on. For example, if radar signals are detected, the crews text blends into the chart.
Or, is there a way to change the text color? That would work as well.
It is still a great mod to accompany the GWs work.
Thanks to all involved.

I would also like to add my thanks to Venatores for his beautiful work.:up:

No problems mate, also remember that to install any kind of graphic like skins or sea water , you don't need to be in Port to do it, If t it is only graphic improvement mods there are no problem in instaling it at mid patrol!:up:

Is there a way to uninstal GWX without uninstalling SH3? I bought the game on release date and no longer have my CD key, so uninstalling is not an option. I like most of GWX, but I miss the old damage model for shipping. If there's a way to revert that without getting rid of GWX I'd try it out.

The skins in particular are great. :up:

Mate what you have to do is try a diferent damage model, but to ininstall gwx you have to uninstall the all game....

Ducimus can help you on that of the damage model, in fact I think he haves a work around for a new damage model thought i'm not sure!!!!
