Enemy planes where are they in gwx?

Its 1942 and i patrol in the enemy plane ranges . But i,ve never ever come across any enemy planes so far! Where are they ? Its not realistic not come across even a single plane since most u-boats where destoyed from the air?

Above that and the chances of seeing aircraft are sporadic

May be you're running around at high TC ? Try max 128 you will see the difference...:D

Consider yourself lucky. I don't know how far from land nor exactly where you have been cruising. That would make a difference of course. And sooner or later, you will and wish you weren't. :yep: :lol:

I honestly suspect theres something hinky going on in two things:

1.) AI visual's settings as they apply to aircraft. I can't prove it, i havent tested it, but i got this gut feeling that the wave action enviormental settings are skewing the AI visual sensor when used on aircraft.

2.) I suspect theres something amiss in the config file of some airbases. Reason is because i went back and added squadrons to airbases (changing nothing else). I even added an additional regular or large Br Airbase to biscay bay, and yet, i see more planes north of the british isles, out of free town, cape town, and the carribean then i do in biscay bay.

Even in September 1939 there'll be aircraft. I just got ambushed by two dive-bombers (Mosquitos, I think) off of Shetland. And that's '39. Just wait until 1945 - they'll be all over you.

Try out 1944 the sky is full of them. :arrgh!:

Pull down the map with the convoy's and stuff, it gives you a good idea of the air coverage as it relates to the year you are in.

Elite airbases not spawning is a stock bug. I do recall this conversation awhile ago and i later went back through the LND layer looking for elite airbases and didn't find any.

Biscay bay's air presense works fairly well in 44. For some reason its 42 and/or 43 that seems to be lacking.

The sad thing is, if someone modeled them you could acutally see Tie fighters flying about straffing and bombing you. lol
