View Full Version : Nav Map Bearing Overlay Tool V 1.1 - Now more Accurate!
Hi, the original tool as it was using Pato's Protractor readings was out to port & stern, this has now been fixed an the readout is accurate to within about .1 of a degree.:yep:
The file can be downloaded here:
http://files.filefront.com/Nav_Map_Bearing_Tool_v2_1rar/;6728979;;/fileinfo.html (http://hyperupload.com/download/0296005c27/Nav_Map_Bearing_Tool_v1_1.rar.html)
Due to problems with FileFront I cannot upload there, as soon as the site is back up I will upload there, so far it has been up & down like a yoyo!!:-?
Edit: Can someone give this a test to see if it really is accurate now, I would hate to think that aligning the marks correctly throws it out because SH3 is actually out! if that's the case, I will have to create a version that is deliberately out to make it accurate!!! I would test it, but due to work I couldn't, not for a few days anyway.
Thanks in advance.
Reece.

Reece,
This what it looks like in my game, is the waypoint line suspose to be in line with the 0 degrees on the nav tool ? mine seems to be out by about 5 degrees ?

Didn't notice that, but like I said the image is in the center, but maybe I should deliberately make it 5 degrees out! wierd! maybe the waypoint line is out, hope someone else reads this & can confirm if the bearing tool needs to be put out of alignment or what! I will do some tests as well!!
Fun & games, Venatore!!:oops::yep:

Yea this is the part that I love the most about modding, the small humps, bumps and huge mountains that lay before us as we mod. I think this mod that your working on is awsome, it doesn't clutter the map, stay the course my friend ;)
Give this a go Venatore, I think I got it this time!!!(says he!)

Is it compatable with GWX ? :hmm:
Hi,
thank you for the mod. I like it very much. However, in the most recent version I have a small graphical bug. On the right side I get a black line (see screenshot)

Do you have this small error, too?

No, I don't get that line happening on my game. :hmm:
Hi,
thanks for the info. That is really strange. I have checked it again and the line is always at the 90 degree side. If you look at the picture in post #3 you can see that the sub is a little bit off from the 90 degree side. Perhaps moving the overlay a little bit to the left has created that line. Here is another screenshot.

Yes it is rather strange but when I looked closer at the actual file I noticed that the right side does in fact have a black line, must have happened when moving the whole image to the left, have now fixed that problem - poor Venatore, I must say you have a lot of patience, more copy & pasting!!:yep: I have checked it thoughly & have uploaded as my final version! I have sacked my Quality control staff.:nope:
