Ok, so I was doing the "Taipei Strike" mission, and encountered a problem. I detected, localized, traked and killed the kilo rather quick, and I wonder if it was too quick. I could not complete the mission. Do they HAVE to fire their missiles first? I got the other boat to the north also, and went back to the patrol station only to wait for an hour. I finally quit, looked at truth, and found that all the hostiles were killed, yet I did not complete the mission. Any one have any ideas as to why?

One or more of the targets could've killed themselves by crashing into one another, I've had this happen to me. I don't think the game accepts this as a kill, so you still lose. :(

I´m quite sure, from my small experience, that the game doesn´t accept collision "kills" as a complete goal. I´ve just played a mission downloaded from subguru´s ("Caper Focus", perhaps?) and I rammed one of the ships I was supposed to kill with my OHP. Didn´t get credit for that... :-?

I just "cheated" and peeked in the editor. You must kill the Kilo AFTER the missile strike begins.
