Unbelievable! And diapers too!
Astronaut arrested in alleged kidnap attempt (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16997958/)
That's how it goes sometimes, one day you're operating the space shuttle robotic arm 80 miles in orbit, the next you're getting a mugshot looking like a crack ho.
WTF!?!? :o
During a check of the parking lot, an officer followed Nowak and watched her throw away a bag containing the wig and BB gun. They also found a steel mallet, a 4-inch folding knife, rubber tubing, $600 and garbage bags inside a bag Nowak was carrying when she was arrested, authorities said.
Inside Nowak's vehicle, which was parked at a nearby motel, authorities uncovered a pepper spray package, an unused BB-gun cartridge, latex gloves and e-mails between Shipman and Oefelein. They also found a letter "that indicated how much Mrs. Nowak loved Mr. Oefelein," an opened package for a buck knife, Shipman's home address and hand written directions to the address, the arrest affidavit said.

Most of us have to try very hard to look that bad.
Unless it's diaper rash. :p

What a relief all the coffee I was about to drink would put me into orbit. :rotfl:

In response to the title of this thread, something tells me that she didn't really make the grade....

She has obviously had a mental breakdown. I don't really find it funny, nor do I really feel sad for her. She is going to have to face the consequences. At least no one was physically injured, and this happened on the ground instead of 400 miles orbit.
In related news, that is a wicked booking picture. I think the only "good" booking picture I've seen was Tom Delay, although he did get to pick and choose his time to show up (like Michael Jackson).

Probably. There's so much over-the-top drama here that it's just bound to make it somewhere. It's exactly the sort of kitschy story that gets peoples attention, I mean people are all over the news story already, and it hasn't been 24 hours since it broke.
I bet she'd make more money selling book rights to it than being an astronaut

Here's the offical prediction come true.
Movie rights (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070209/ap_en_mo/arrested_astronaut_movie_2)
LOS ANGELES - You knew this was coming. The strange saga of the astronaut who traveled 900 miles to allegedly try to murder a rival for the affections of a fellow astronaut will be turned into a movie.
Granada America has optioned the film rights to a New York Times article on Lisa Nowak, 43, who was arrested Monday and charged with attempted murder.
She had all the right stuff...:88)
Realizing his statement could be taken in many ways, U-533 steps back from the microphone glancing side to side and pretending to clear his throat
Sooner than I expected!
:damn::damn::damn::damn:
Can't imagine Gagarin, nor John Glenn nor for that matter Valentina Tereshkova (the first woman in space) acting like that, ok Buzz Aldrin punched a guy out but he had it coming. :|\\

Would this not be considered Bio-Hazardous material?:o
As I am not one for wearing a "Nappy", is it a common problem to accidently lose it while wearing it? Now I know the link said she was wearing it while driving 1,000 miles, but how does one just drop off and get left behind?:hmm:
All I have to say about the Auction is:
EEEWWWwhat's that smell.
