JETAUDIO

Download this bad boy, it converts MP3 into OOG and many other file variants and vice verse sa. I do all my sound conversions on this software. It's not shareware.

Hay MM:
before you convert the files, I suggest you use MP3Gain to equalize the loudness of the files, so they all play at the same volume. I don't have the URL, but google it and you'll find it.

SWEEEET! I too have been looking for something like this. Thanks for the info guys. Never knew about something like an MP3Gain...that will help for sure with all of the older tracks for sure.

Now maybe my Gramophone will play the tracks all the way through without cutting them short...previous mp3 file user.

BTW...what would the optimal settings be for conversion with the goal being set on using these tracks for Gramophone playback only? ...such as kbps?

Audacity is another free audio program.
I use it quit abit to do ringtones and such.
And yes, it does ogg files and more.

I don't know; everything seems to work OK.
I have used 44K with mono

I use www.goldwave.com (http://www.goldwave.com) It shows the original settings for the files, so you can match them easily. I'm pretty sure the others do, too.

Personally, I set all my gramaphone files for .wav, so I can listen to them when I'm not playing.
