NYGM ocean sound

I just started trying out the NYGM mod. The sound is starting to bother me, which seems different from GWX or the vanilla game.

When inside the boat on the surface, the sound of the spray, or rather the static sound of the boat cutting through the waves, is quite prominent at all stations. I recall it being somewhat quiter inside the boat without the NYGM mod.

I'm getting tired of listening to this static sound all of the time. Is there a way to change this?

I downloaded your mod, and I plan to use your amb_SubmarineInterior file, but it does not solve the problem. I can hardly make out any of the ambient sounds in your mod, because the wave splitting sound is still too loud, even on the map plotting station.

When I tried GWX, I noticed that there was a ticking clock sound at the map screen, which I found very pleasing. I can't hear that at all under the NYGM mod.

Is there a file somewhere which controls which sounds are played at which volume at various stations?

How can I cut out the water sounds, or turn down their volume, while inside the boat?

I don't have this problem with NYGM...
Anyway, the sound files have the same structure in both mods, so you can replace the NYGM sound files you don't like by the GWX ones.
In fact I have sounds which are a mix from NYGM, GWX and Sailor's Steve mod and they are installed both in NYGM and GWX version, so I have the same sounds in both.
