Help I got a PC neighbour and he driving me nuts, he told me not too call a spade a spade as this will upset dark skin people! So I asked him what should I call it? He said call it a shovel, so I said no thanks it's a spade in my book:smug: then he called me raciest and he was going to call the police:stare: well I said too him feel free call them see if I care.
This is not the first time we have had words for example he does not like my black bin bags and my black gate and the bush which is not strictly growing in my garden is in his words infringing his civil rights to open his window and it's blocking out the sun light. :o
:arrgh!: I can't take much more of this I'm going to:hulk: :hulk:
Moving on to my other neighbour who slams doors in the early hours of the morning and the number of punch up's these people have had I lost count. Fortunately in there case I can get the council on to them at the moment I have to monitor them for three weeks and fill in all these boring forms.
Has anyone here put up with a neighbour from hell?

That's strange? I must admit I did it on Word2003 and pasted it over here hang on I shall change the colour.

dark blue on black is not so great.
I just changed the colour again. You just have to make do with it.
Sounds like quite a predicament your in steve... First thing that comes to mind is that song "Stuck in the middle with you" :up:
I havnt personly had many problems with nabours apart from back in my old nabourhood where every halloween guaranteed another barrage of eggs from young hoodlums :nope:

Failing that, you could always pretend to convert to Islam and wake him up at 7am with a call to prayer broadcasting from your windows, and if he complains, then call him racist and threaten to ring the police ;)

Spades and Shovels are very different!
Shovels have raised edges or a steady curve so things don't fall off the side.
There are 14 words for different spades and shovels where I come from.
I know this because a ex-boss of mine was a extreme spade/shovel pedant.

It's a wonder you weren't supplied with a noise meter from your local Environmental Health Department so you could monitor the sound from your punch-up/door slamming neighbours for 3 weeks.

If at all possible, erect a nice 6 boot privacy fence. In all reality, if he is getting agressive do everything you can to have a witness with you. Take him to court. Open aggression and constant banter is illegal. Videotape it if possible and put on U-tube for all the neighborhood to see.

The PC one is just plain round the bend and harmless and the door banger seems harmless as well, after all he would have got a letter from the council that I reported him and anyway I have warned him.

Poor reaction, STEED.
I was really worried about your situation, just like other subsimmers all over the globe. I even thought I needed an extra drink before falling asleep tonight. You know we submariners are a close knit family. When you have pain, I'm hurt.
When you say you're living with "neighbours from hell", I'm automaticly thinking about some Flower or River class escorts next to you...
And now you come up with the word "harmless"?

I just had a visit from the police :o good grief my PC neighbour went ahead and called them!!!!
Don't Panic folks the very nice officer saw my side of the issue and he felt it was a wast of his time but he had to investigate the complaint.
Well blow me down with a feather that was a surprise. Right I'm going down to my local baker's in the morning to place a order for some hot cross buns and eat them in front of that PC loony and lets see what he has to say to that. :smug:

Poor steed, we've got a bloke like that near our place.
My street is a circle, split down the middle by another road. One half (my half) is quite pleasant, however the other half is filled with govt-owned flats, and populated with people who know neither how to wash nor conduct themselves in public.
My housemate n i are both predominantly white in our ancestory, but both of us have aborigines in our ancestory, in my case my great grandfather was half. We were discussing those on the other half of our street when a bloke across the road took offence to the terminology being used. he proceeded to give us quite a porly-informed lecture. Amongst his tirade we were both called racists. at this point, we both burst out laughing, much to his dismay and so he redoubled his efforts.
He got more and more animated and we couldnt help but laugh and laugh, eventually he threatened to call the police, and given our general area, if they come, they come by sixes. We asked why, and he said for racism and whatnot. Turns out he's of indigenous descent, and took exception to what we had to say. But the look on his face was brilliant when we told him of our own heritage!:rotfl:
this same bloke has (is strongly suspected by most on the street) of vandalism, muggings, and being a general pain in the ass. but if anyone so much as raises their voice to him, he cries to the police - ironic, no? They know all too well to respond to each of his calls, despite knowing that they're a waste of time, because if they dont he has and will get into the media about racial discrimination and whatnot.:damn:
