Probably hardcoded but I thought I would ask anyway...

When you crash dive, or just dive normally, there is a 10 second pause :o when your engines go dead as the crew switch from diesels to electrics. It doesnt matter if you have guys already in the electrics room or not. The pause happens at the WORST time as you really need the RPM's when you start to slow down from the drag of the water.

In real life there was no pause as the electrics were spooled up before the diesels were shut off.

HATE IT!

If I remember correctly, SH3 only alows the use of one type of engines. It would save many a Kaleun here the trouble of fuel supply.

Speaking of which, is there any way to use electrics on the surface? Seems pretty ridiculous that you can't.

No. although it was common when on the surface in the dark in closeproximity
to use electrics like they were creeper engines on the surface in the Real world I dont believe there is a "natural" way to do it in sh3.
