Maybe it could be put on a raft and seen more. Crossing a harbor or somewhere else in port. LOL On the pier near the lighthouse when you pass the last set of subpens would be nice. Or any other dock away from the departure point.

I could never understand why there isn't anything on any docks except where you depart from. Just having static equipment would be nice. As long as nothing moves, it shouldn't cause problems with frame rates I'd think.

Every object you add animated or static increases the memory/cpu usage, if you populate the entire harbour as it's in the departure point you'll end up adding 30 or 40 thousand points and a dozen of extra textures to be loaded into memory, not to mention the increased loading times, the most difficult part in "eye candy" modding is to find a balance between "it looks nice" and practical.

Thanks Ref, good to know. I know loading times are affected, so now I realise memory relates loading times. I should have known that, but it didn't cross my mind. :damn:

I don't know exactly how sh3 manages loading/memory, but from observation the more ram you have the fastest loading times, when I had 512 mb of ram it tooks up to 10' to load a patrol, with 1GB it takes about 5/6' even when I have sh3 on a sata raid 0 drive, for what I've read (can't afford the extra ram yet) with 2 gigs of ram it takes about 3'...

I looked into the motocycle.dat file and the 3d objects seem to point
elsewhere.
The TGAs have no texture for the cycle so they also lay elsewhere.
I do have a reference from above dat file.
If I stumble into it I'll see what can be done as it bugs the crap outta me
that it looks like PooPoo!

But it may end up being a Triumph!!:rock:

The motocycle model is on motocycle.dat it's name is R75 neumático delantero
