i dont know where i should post this but its a "modification" of sorts.

Ok so i opened up the Mission Editior and i loaded the Happy Times Mission and i added a German Fleet into t he mix and to be fair to the brits i also gave them some BBs and more DDs and some airpower to match my airpower, The Battle was going to be really good. So i saved it and then startd up SH3 and played Happy Times mission. I started out in the Command Room and was waiting for the WO to say Warship Spotted or atleast Friendly Spotted, but nothing, so i hit F4 and went topside and scanned the horizon for anything but nothing. So i looked at my Nav Map and zoomed out and saw that i was not anywhere near the battle, i wasnt even 200 miles away, I WAS NEAR FREETOWN (AFRICA), IN GRID FF 22. Now how the Bleeding Hell did i end up there????

And How do i create my Own Missions using the Mission Editor, cause when i started it a white page greets me, so where do i load the map of the world?

To start - Top left cnr & choose File then New. This will load a map & ask for date definitions.

always best to put in your own mission sub first and build your mission around it. if you want to utilize an existing mission it shouldnt be a problem, I dont know what would have happened in your case you simply load the mission and zoom in on the location of the battle and edit away in situ check for warnings and errors under mission / validate mission in the top bar , warnings are not the same as errors, warnings you can save past but errors you can not. but its just a matter of being careful I think.MM:|\\

ps in my own case I save missions to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\SingleMissions\ English

[edit] most here have mission building experience and a willingness to help but there are those who specialize in mission building they
hang out on this thread.

Make sure you save the mission as Normal Mission, not as a [...] Layer (for example Land Layer). Other than that, I'm not sure.

But yes, it's happened countless times to me, too - starting where the equator and Greenwich line (or whatever it means) meet.
