I was wondering if anyone has a list of the ranges of all the RWR equipment in GWX (Metox, Naxos, ect.) as they are not in the manual. NYGM had a good section in its manual for this and I want to compare.
Many thanks

thats a good question i would know that too :)
The SH3 Mini Tweaker dont give a good answer on that.
I mean for the AI-Sensor.dat works fine to get the infos but at the normal sensors.dat i dont get it ;)

hex addresses have changed in GWX's sensors.dat so the Tweaker won't read it properly without an updated tweak file.

Purely by chance, Anvart and I have been working together recently on the radar receivers.
Therefore:
Radar Receiver results:SH3 Jungmann NYGM GWX
Range Rotn Range Rotn Range Rotn Range Rotn
km secs km secs km secs km secs
Metox 4 15 10 15 30 15 35 25
Borkum 5 15 15 10 20 10 30 20
Naxos 7.5 15 20 10 15 20 20 15
Tunis 10 15 25 5 30 5 35 10
FuMB37-7 - - - - 6 10 7.25 15
[Sorry, I've spent over 10 minutes now trying to format this table, but it keeps losing the format as soon as it is previewed - multiple spaces and/or tabs vanish at once. Copy into a word-processor and format for yourselves.]
One fascinating thing we discovered:
The radar receivers have no concept of wavelength, centimetric or metric.
Each receiver simply detects any radar that was introduced before the date of introduction of the radar receiver. Add any radar receiver late enough, and it will detect everything.

So we have to run Stieblers program to fix the ranges in GWX?
Sorry...I am confused.

Nono, I just ran it as it presents the results when it΄s finished, copied my original sensor.dat back.

Stiebler....since you are here...
I will hijack my own thread...
1. Any more updates comming for NYGM or is it finished?
2. Did you ever hear anymore from DTB?
3. Do you, yourself, use the Assisted Plotting Mod with GWX and is it even compatable?
Thanks for the info and good hunting...:arrgh!:
...and thank you LZS VON SWE for the answers as well.....

This much i knew

This blows my mind clear out of the water.

Really??? Outstanding!!!
Any hint on some of the changes?
Stiebler,
Thank you very much for the information on the Radar Warning Receivers !!!
Let me ask about the U-boat radars: Can you give as a similar list about their ranges and sweeping time??
Thank you !!!
