Installing Gerome's Luetzow cruiser in GWX Safe ?

Will GWX be screwed up if I copy the contents of Gerome's Lutzow heavy cruiser into the appropriate folder in GWX

These ships are clearly different:

GWX version :

The readme sais you need a modified guns.dat file that contains the 28 cm Drilling Gun. anyone know what this means and has it safely running in GWX ?

:hmm: The new Lutzow was released after GWX finalised so didnt make it in
Now I know there is a ship update coming soon from Cdre Gibs
What that includes I do not know so I would hold fire on installing it for the minute till the ship update is released
I believe it comprises community released ships made GWX compatable

Yep figured that that was the reason.

Well as long as I don't have a clue in which way the guns.dat file has been modified, I am not willing to screw up the entire setup I have now. I will keep the current Luzow for the time being, just wanted to know for sure !

The GWX guns.dat has more gun sizes as well as the rockets
AFAIK no other dat has them all in so you will lose out on something by swopping them

What does it say in the new Lutzow for those 28cm ( 11 inch ) guns ?

I took a look in the mod folder, there's no guns.dat in there but here's what the German readme sais, no English version available, so I will translate for you :

If you open the Lutzow Sea folder and look in the EQP cfg it will say what the main guns are

must be those two, no other reference towards 28 can be found in the file

It wont work without a few more changes as the GWX ship is called NCA_Lutzow and Geromes is NCB_Luetzow
So it wouldnt show ingame anyway without changes to the campaign files

Best wait to see what goodies Cdre Gibs has to offer
