What do i have to modify to erase the realism penalty that i get when the external camera is enabled.

I find it annoying that i am not able to get some nice screenshots when playing at 100%.

Can anyone help?

Change the GameplaySettings.cfg in youre X:\Silent Hunter III\data\cfg folder, there you need to change the entry: "NoExternalViewRealismPercentage=10 to 0" and raise another entry there with 10points, like "LimitedFuelRealismPercentage=6" to "16".

Technically speaking you are not playing at 100% with the camera enabled
Even if you reduce the penalty its still not 100%

That said I always play with the camera on
If its not 100% it doesnt matter to me

I don't use the external camera to get me an advantage, which means i am not hovering above the water to see where the destroyers are that are dc'ing me.

Its just that I want to play at 100% to get full credit for my sinkings, but there are these occasions when you curse yourself for not being able to take good screenshots. For example when a Ju-88 sinks a troop transport that you already torpedoed.
Or you finally are able to get to the Bismarck when she's opening fire on the Hood.

And i am sitting there 6km away, playing with my binoculars...:damn:
