I've been on 10 patrols now, spanning mid-'40 to late -'41, and I've yet to see a US-registered/flagged ship the entire time. I used to run across them a lot early in the war, but they seem to have vanished since I installed GWX. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I'm on my second GWX career and I started them both careers in 1942. I've sent lots of seppos to the bottom so far but I have mostly encountered them around their home shores.

Early in the war most US Ships are confined in the US coast. I have seen some around Ireland and in the west coast of Africa, but you have to wait until 1942 to see them in Convoys and in the Atlantic areas close to the UK.
Lots of Americans in GWX.

Yeah loads :yep:
Hang about the approaches and drool over the lone tankers and hospital ships :arrgh!:
I hope drooling is all you do when the hospital ships appear. :o

I went to the US Coast last night on my IXC (Nov-Dec 1941) and I got tiered of sinking US Tankers. I got my first ever 100K+ patrol:yep: :yep: :D :D :arrgh!:
Here is the first US victim of the war. It went down with one torpedo and a few gun rounds.

Looks like a neutral to me Mel. ;) The US entered the war on Dec 8th 1941, the day after Pearl Harbor.

Nope I sunk it on Dec 11th 1941 and it was credited as enemy (red). After the US gets into the war it takes some time for their ships to stop having their lights on. It was quite a site for sure:yep: :yep: :D :D
LOL Ok, I just didn't want to see you get into trouble with BDU. The Russian Front is no place to be. Especially during the winter months. ;)

:D Oh yes I agree with this. I'm really very scrupilous about nationality and attacks on ships. As you said Stalingrad is not a place for us. In the Atlantic we have higher chances of survival;)
